'94 Caravan with 3.3 sometimes will not start.

Code 11 - no crank signal at pcm
Code 27 -#1 injector driver does not respond properly to (pcm) control signal
Code 32 -EGR solenoid circuit
I would replace your crankshaft postion sensor, the sensor is located at the back of the right cylinder head (closest to the firewall) in the transmission bell housing... disconnect the wiring harness to the sensor -- use a 10mm socket or wrench and remove bolt - pull sensor straight up and out.. when reinstalling new sensor push in to bell housing - tighten up bolt and reattach wiring harness -- (before you do this operation make sure that you have disconnected the negative terminal on the vehciles battery.

2000 dodge intrepid wont stay running

Have fuel pressure tested in both situations. I've seen fuel pumps quit once they get heated up, then when they cool, pump again. Perhaps try WD40 sprayed in to throttle body inlet when no start, and that will tell you if it's a fuel delivery problem. Just remove air cleaner intake hose at front of throttle body, and open throttle and spray for a second or 2 then try to start. If it fires up and runs for a second or 2, then it's a lack of fuel issue.

How to trouble shoot a transmission

Normally I would first ask if the check engine light is staying on. If it is you may find a trouble code for one of the solenoids in the transmission. Often times the transmission control module chooses second gear as a default to get you to a shop.Beyond that, there's not much a DIY can do to troubleshoot it.
