How do i pop hood

I took a look at mine and hopefully I have a few ideas that might help you out. I could not open mine by tugging on the cable either but I soon found out why- the cable that is exposed under the dash is just insulation, not the actual cable. To get to the cable, I needed to remove the bump strip along the door sill. I don't know if there were any changes between 1992 and 1993 but for me, all I needed to do to get this off was remove the three phillips screws along the sill, and then pull off the trim piece. This exposed the mechanism and you can see the wire that leads into the insulation you probably saw earlier. Hopefully this will solve your problem.

I have a 1993 dodge

Hello
Lets start by the way this system works, it a totally self contained hydraulic system that uses no traditional brake booster, the system is controlled by The ABS control module which is a computer, to determine the cause of your malfunction you will need to have the ABS module scanned for fault codes to confirm the exact cause of the pump not running, this test requires a scanner. If you wish to do some of the manual diagnostic tests do this: Go out under the hood and with a 12 volt test light (available from any auto parts store) probe the connector to the ABS pump and motor assembly, have someone press the brake pedal and see if you have power present at the motor, I believe there are just 2 wires, ground and 12 volt (red wire) pump power. If you do have power and I suspect you will, tap the motor with a hammer handle and see if it starts, if it does then the motor is defective due to worn out brushes. The other possibility is that the ABS hydraulic pressure sensor is defective. The relay for the pump is located under the hood in the relay center and should be marked as the ABS relay. Below is a picture of the ABS pump which is mounted on the transmission.
All of the parts for this system are really expensive and most will not be returnable if you guess wrong, so i suggest you have the Dodge dealer diagnose this problem.

How do i get my spare tire out from under the

No electric, it is all manual. Look under the carpet in the rear and you will find what looks like a lug nut that your tire wrench fits, that raises and lowers the tire.

Cant find oil pump

You have to remove the oil pan and remove the oil tube. The pump is under that and looks more like a couple of gears than a pump unit. The Haynes Repair manual on this model has a good picture and detailed rebuild instructions.

I have the wires crossed

northbamaman, What you can do is to look at the top of the coil pack because Chrysler has each coil numbered. You may need a mirror for this but it is possible. The cylinders in the front as you look at the engine are 2,4 and 6 from left to right. The cylinders in the back are 1,3 and 5 from left to right. Follow each wire from the coil pack to the corresponding spark plug. Rewire as necessary. Good luck with this.

What causes a van to sound like firecrackers going

could be a number of things, first I would check the Plugs and Plug wires, backfiring is normally caused by fuel not being burned the first time around then the popping you hear is it exploding in the cylinder as it fires again, Once you have checked those 2 items,, and its still happening,, ( hope Not ) check the timing,, and distributor cap for flaws ( burnt contact points ) hopefully by now the problem is corrected, If not ,, well,,, you get into more major things like timing belts, bad valves, the stuff you don't want to deal with

My 93 caravan the hood latch won't catch to

Your hood latch probably isn't returning to the right position for it to catch. This is commonly caused by one of two problems: (1) too much hardened grease and crud on the latch itself is keeping it from operating freely; or (2) the hood release cable has gotten rusty or kinked over time and is no longer releasing completely.
I would suggest testing the hood release cable before doing anything else. It's an easy test and it only takes a minute. Enlist the help of a second person to pull the hood release lever while you look at the hood latch. When your helper pull on the release, you should see the cable pull part of the hood latch. When they let go, that part should swing back to its prior position. Using a long-shafted screwdriver, see whether you can "help" that moving part move any further on its return path. If you can push the latch any significant amount, it's not returning all the way to its proper position, and your hood release cable is probably binding.
In the short term, if you manually push the hood latch back into position, you should be able to close your hood again. However, you'll have to do this each time you open the hood. In addition, you run the risk that, not too far in the future, your hood release cable will actually completely bind or snap, and then you'll have a much harder time opening your hood to replace the cable (or do anything else, like add oil or washer fluid).

Why does my dodge caravan keep slipping out of

Only 2 reasons for this, low transmission fluid level or a malfunction in the transmission due to orn parts or a hydraulic pressure leak. Check the fluid HOT and make sure it is between the two lines (low and full) on the dip stick.

WHEN VAN FIRST STARTED TRANNY WONT SHIFT NORMAL.

I would say it's not likely to be a sensor. Be certain your transmission fluid is full, and always allow your vehicle time to warm up in the winter months. Older cars such as yours tend to have high mileage, and most never even get a routine transmission fluid change, so you may consider replacing the fluid and filter to help extend it's life and performance.

93 Caravan front drivers side

The brake line has a metal support bracket on it. Rust builds up between the bracket and the rubber hose eventually pinching off the hose. The solution is to replace the hose or spread the bracket apart where it goes around the hose.
