Dodge used an ABS system for 2 years that didn't have a vacuum booster. Instead it used ABS pressure from the pump motor for the power brakes. This is the system you have. The ABS pump is mounted on top of the transmission. Is the pump running when the pedal is hard to push? Sometimes the pressure sensor in the ABS module will go bad and the pump won't run. You will get a hard pedal and the ABS light and the BRAKE lights will be on. The code in the ABS control module will be LOW BRAKE ACCUMULATOR PRESSURE.

first chek if the booster is getting vacum to it if dose then its the booster good luck

you do have to take of that pully also the timming cover timming belt timming gear but first you have to put the engine to top dead center on time beafor you do all that ok good luck

You don't need to remove the steering wheel and airbag. There are screws on the bottom of the plastic surrounding the ignition switch. The screws may be strange shaped, but that plastic piece surrounding your ignition comes off, and you can get to the ignition through that.

Its possible you shorted out the wiring inside the motor, or damaged one of the gears. It may be beyond your ability to remove the motor and exchange it with another. But you could try removing one in a salvage yard first to see if you are up to the task. The wiring should just plug into the motor.Check online for a video on youtube or someone's step by step experience in removing the motor and linkage.

There is no adjustment you have a tenshioner if its bad you must replace it.

get a volt meter and test the the battery while car is running. a good alt should be charging at 14.6 volts but anything above 13 is ok

check the distributor, first, if not there maybe its mounted on fender under hood, go to a parts store, they will show you what it looks like, go find it, simple , donny

Spark plugs test them and see too if the coils are good. And at that year some times the catalyst can be bad
