My vehicle has the "SERVICE TRACTION SYSTEM" indicator visible on dashboard. I have replaced the brake pads and reset the computer. However, light will not go off. What could be my problem?
on the rotors you probably noticed two lines one for the brakes and the other is your traction control magnet which picks up a signal to tell the computer to control the braking system when the wheel locks up in hard braking, you either damaged the magnet or it picked up some metal shaving while replacing the brake pads

On our 2003 Impala the traction off light and ABS light comes on at the same time as the service traction system warning message. The traction control and anti-lock brakes engage and stay on while driving, making "mooing" and "groaning" noises. We were told it had to do with needing new brakes and rotors. We did so. It still does it!
One mechanic told us that it needs the bearings to be replaced at $600+. But another more reliable one checked it and said that isn't the problem. So I Googled the problem and read that many Impala owners were having the same problems, getting expensive repairs made (one even for over $1000 in three separate stages of repairs) and was still having the problems.
So is there a solution? My husband disconnected the abs module, tried driving it and it seems to have gotten rid of the abs and traction coming on and noises, but the abs and trac off lights stay on constantly. And it starts out with the warning message, but goes off after a few minutes.
Help!
THE PROBLEM IS WITH A HUB WHEEL SPEED SENSOR OR MORE LIKELY THE HARNESS LEADING TO THE HUB.
CHECK THE RESISTANCE AT THE HUB CONNECTION, IT SHOULD BE BETWEEN 900OHMS AND 1300OHMS. THEN SWITCH TO A-C VOLTAGE, IT SHOULD BE 100MV WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL BY HAND. IF BOTH CHECK OUT THE PROBLEM IS IN THE WIRING TO THE HUB.
THE RIGHT FRONT HUB USUALLY HAS A BEND, DOWNWARD THEN UPWARD NEAR THE CONNECTOR TO THE HUB. THAT IS WHERE THE PROBLEM USUALLY OCCURS.
NEW HARNESS WIRES CAN BE BOUGHT AT THE DEALER.

how do i reset the security system on my 2003 chevy impala
Are you reffering to the alarm or the pass lock system that put the theft light on.....If its the alarm the put the key in the door and unlock it. If its the pass lock system put the key in the ignition and turn it on and try to start the vehicle. After it shuts itself off leave the key on for ten min until the theft light stops flashing the turn key off and try to start it again. This may take a few times....

Every time you try to put gas into the car, the gas pump nozzle either keeps clicking off when the tank is not full, or spills out of the car. I thought maybe the gas was coming out of the pump too fast, so I slowed it down, but it still did not help. Sometimes you can put gas into the car effortlessly (like normal), then sometimes the nozzle keeps clicking off and it takes 10-15 minutes just to put $10.00 in, then there is other times where it will not go in at all. I have spent almost $20.00, trying to put gas in the tank and the gauge is still reading a little below a half of a tank. What is causing this to happen?
it is a normally thieving from side the Shell company

how to clean 2003 3.4l egr valve chevy impala
after pulling my hair out for 2 years and sinking a lot of money on unessasary parts, (trying to get my check engine light off and stay off). I removed the throttle body from the manifold, and wha...lah... I immediately seen the problem< and new the light would go off and stay off,and my visit to the echeck would be the last.(for two yrs. anyways).
behind the throttle body there is an exhaust port which leads to the egr valve. to me its a poor engineering design, because it is like a trap on your kitchen sink, its about a 70 degree pipelike angle which trapped carbon deposits and builds up over time. causing little or no air flow to the egr valve. it is a pain to clean it but a man gotta do what a man gotta do. keep unplugging it. also take off the egr valve and clean the rest of the port from there. I kept up until I could easily blow and feel air coming through. this whole process start to finished , took about 3 hrs. you may have to get creative in your cleaning< I nused a coat hanger< bent an end of a small screwdriver<for digging, used brake clean, carb cleaner, and air. what a relief ... its finally over.. good luck
