2001 buick park ave.what is the cost of the fuel level sensor

If you are sure its the fuel level sensor. You can not just purchase the card. The sensor, float and possibly the fuel pump is sold as a single unit. get in touch with your local parts dealer. They can tell you over the phone. Purchase a mechanics manual for your car, there usually about 20 dollars and you will need it. You will have to drain the gas tank as best you can and drop it out from under the car to get to the ring nut that holds the gas gauge and fuel pump and a gasket on and in the tank. Not an easy job for a novice.

2001 buick park ave high idle

First thing i would do is take the idle air control valve off and clean the carbon off of it and inside the throttle body using a non-chlronated brake cleaner. Then reset the computer with a code reader or a scan tool then start it and if problem still exists take the mass air flow sensor off and spray the thin wires inside the sensor with the same brake cleaner then let it dry for 15 minutes and re-install.Reset computer then start motor.
