X5 diesal blue smoke
Hi , if you have had a turbo failure on this vehicle , just replacing the turbo will not cure the cause of blue smoke . depending how bad the seals had gone in the turbo you would need to replace , the complete exhaust system , the crankcase breater , air intake manifold , air charger but only if these items have been contaminated with oil , they would not be able to be cleaned out , hope this helps , regards mark

My driver side door keep indicating that it is open
Hi , the microswitch for the door open identification is in the actual door latch ,, it is not posible to replace the microswitch on its own . you may also want to check the wiring that runs from the A pillar to the door just in case you have a broken wire , regards mark.

They may not have put the drain plug back in properly.
They often replace the seal on the plug at the same time but not always.
I'd take it straight back and make them fix it.

Rear Upper Control Arm
Go to Rockauto.com, click on the online catalogue. Select BMW then your year and model. Click on suspension and then control arm. When it shows you the part click on the letter "i" and it will show you a picture of the part. Also not a bad place to purchase parts, I use them all the time.

I have a scraping noise coming from my wheels.
Sometimes these things happen and even after servicing them they come back again..If you want to be safe then have the braking system serviced...which means removing every pad and clean everything...Once all is put back you should be fine..

If you hear a click, It sounds like a starter motor ot a bad ground.
Have someone tap the starter solenoid while you are trying to start it. If it starts, you will need a starter motor. Be very careful not to break or make contact with positive terminal as you may get shocked.,

The lights will come on an the battery is
Have the battery load tested. it dosen't take much power to operate lights and under load, the battery may have enough volts but not enough amps to turn the starter. If battery checks good with load test, check the starter for excessive draw and check all connections at battery, starter and block ground.

Don't know how to install a/c compressor belt
your best bet is to use some redneck engineering. if you dont have the proper tool (which is a bmw special tool) you will have to partially install the belt over the a/c compressor pulley and try yo get it as far over the crank pulley as possible. use a screwdriver to hold it and turn the engine over with the crank bolt and a ratchet. it can be a real pain. good luck. support your local bmw dealership

Wheel help!
225 = Tyre width
50 = Tyre Height
17 = Size of the wheel without tyres on.
You can go up a size to 18's and I'd suggest 225/40R18 TO GIVE YA A LITTLE EXTRA GRIP BUT THE COMFORT WILL SUFFER A BIT.
Hope this helps.
