Possible switch gear unit has malfunction. Need to get it scanned to fully check this out. Don't just replace parts on a guess.... Very expensive and will cause issues when you take it to a professional

The SRS light is on because the airbag system has developed a fault and is turned off. When the problem that caused this is diagnosed and repaired the light will extinguish itself. Right now you have no airbag protection in a crash, this could cause you serious injury or ***** how much is your life worth, get it repaired. I remember well the horrible damage to the human body before safety features like Airbags and collapsible steering columns to list a few, it was not pretty.

The lift arms need replacing.

Solid electrical short. Unless u have the diagrams , tools & experience DONT TOUCH IT, bring it in to a reputable tech. Good luck

You can have a problem with the shifter cable. It will only allow it to crank and start if it's in Park or Neutral and it may not think it is. Move shifter through its gears one at a time and see if it tries to crank. That is assuming it's an automatic transmission. If it's a manual it could be a clutch pedal switch. Could even be a starter relay or loose wiring between relay and starter. Good luck.

Open your drivers side door and open your bonet. Use another battery to power up your terminals in the engine compartment. Then open your boot

Check the body control module. all window functions are controlled by it.

Read the trouble codes for your automatic transmission using a scan tool. I like the wireless ELM327 OBD2 adapter and OBD Fusion app. The trouble codes will tell you why the transmissiion is putting the car in limp mode.

check for broken alternator drive belt if broken the battery will be flat

Check fuses first, then check the wiring connections to the buttons. Possible the plugs are corroded and just need to be unplugged, cleaned, and plugged back in.

First check transmission dip stick for correct fluid level. Next schedule a transmission filter change. This should have been done at 60,000miles

Pull the out and test to make sure they are getting power.

The first thing you do is take it to the Beemer dealer and have a diagnostic scanner hooked up to see what is going on.
