door panal is held in by clips all you need to do is pop it off. first remove the plactic cover behing the latch and screw out the bolt...then pop off the door trim ...start from the bottom the top is held in by metal clips, al the rest are plastic...remove all the other instruments by uncliping them ie window switch and seat memory

e39 fuse box is located in the glove box ....turn the two white screws

remove inoperative brake light bulb socket and look closley where the socket contacts the aluminum tail light housing, there could be a burn mark which would cause the light to not work,also check the connection at the plug as water damage may have cause rust, those are the most common problems, a tail light brand new would cost about 400 canadian but you maybe able to find a good used one

that is rarely the case actually, bmw's during the 2001 to 2004 models have a known alarm electronic issue.

Your problem is the cause of one or more of the following:

1. faulty hood enclosure sensor damaged from engine heat
2. interior motion sensor is faulty
3. the alarm sensor module
4. OR the sensitivity needs recalibration

None of these are cheap quick fixes, but taking your vehicle to a good mechanic is the first step.

this is indicating a traction control warning or abs

sounds like you have a intake leak, if you can try listening for a sucking noise,

Look under dash locate fuse and remove it.

has to remove the inside panel door and remove the clip inside to open the handle cover then u can see the two nuts and remove them

try check the gear shift sensor or try to bypass the sensor

check fuse if blown to the alarm. Aftermarket alarms usually found under the drivers side dash.

replace battery inside the remote or the main fuse of the alarm is blown.

my bmw has the diagram in the fuse box, try that first

hi the speed sensor is located on either the drivers wheel hub with the abs sensor, or the passenger wheel hub, but they normally are on the drivers side....hope this helps..ps you can get them off ebay lol..

check the trans mount and check the exhaust also it might be binding somwhere

not a diy normalily requiring a lift and special tools you can buy manuel i would call around for best price for labor on job

Replace relay 2 in fuse box behind glove box,fuse box in glove box contains fuses only.

any restriction under the seat
fuses or relays knocking out
ground circiut check
motor

Sounds like an issue with the BMW i system. I am sure there are BMW Forums on the net and I am positive that you wil not be the only one.

was the battery dissconnected? did you try to install the code for the radio?. if the radio worked going in i would think it would work coming out of the shop,something happened of its a fluke, things like this good happen, tell you what you do,take it to the dealer teel them about the body repair and have them check it,you dont have to have them fix it but just check and if its related to bodyshop give them the bill!!! good luck.
