Where can i find the

battery is located under the rear seat. grab the corner and lift up. Factory battery is expensive. Interstate is a good battery. You want to be sure that the battery will fit correctly. A lot of batteries say they are a direct replacement, but you need to use spacers and adapters. when you disconnect battery, disconnect negative terminal 1st and be sure not to touch negative and positve together as you'll get a shower of sparks and could cause the battery to explode. make sure you have the radio code. You'll need to enter the radio code for the radio to work as well as set time/date

CD changer can't open nor

Hi

Have a look on the cd multi changer and see if there is a tiny pin hole, if so poke a pin inside and it should open, not all these BMW Systems have this feature but my 3 series did so worth a look. most likely it needs a new cartridge or it needs cleaning, check for any out of placve cds or ones that have come of the main rack.

Hope that helps, please send me the model number from the CD chnager if you want more info

Hi dear i have a bmw 01 e39 530d fumes smell

Hi
How many miles has the car done? it sounds like high mileage to me and most likely you will need new oil rings if oil is coming up through thr top of the engine. This job will be expensive as you have to strip the engine right down. I would think you would be better off buying a second hand engine and having it fitted, the cost for repairing the engine would be over £800.

Also as its diesel there sounds like there is a lot of back pressure forcing the oil up so I wouldnt think that engine will last much longer. It is difficult without seeing the car to diagnose but with the details you have given it does not sound good.

Finally are you sure that it is oil around the engine top? the only other thing that could cause a biuld up of fluid would be the injectors, if these are leaking then they will spill out fuel, cause the inside of the car to smell also. This is somewaht of an easier job and you would be able to get this repaired for less than £150 in a garge although you could do it your self if you know a little about cars, then maybe only £50 total cost.

If you think it is the latter get back to me and I will give you some details on how to do it.

Regards

Dan

HOW DO I REPLENISH THE GEARBOX FLUID ON E39 BMW

You will find a 1/2 inch or so pipe plug on one or the other side of the box. It will be near the top. Remove it and fill till it over flows. Takes a special pump to fill or a squeeze bottle with a flexible hose. The oil is 80 or 120 weight. It can be done but it is much easier to have your mechanic check and fill as may be necessary. Normally, unless the box is leaking, all you have to do is check it.

Car wont start, didnt use

It all depend on the mechanic. Less 500 maximum. I would do such work about 5-30 bucks. Basicly just drain the tank and fill in the tank with proper octane. Could other issues why it won't start. All car should be able run on all type of gasoline just that certain grade migh do harm. Does the engine turn. Does the starter work. Is battery charge. More detail. Not a certify mechanic.

2001 bmw 540i have

P1343. Misfire Cylinder 1 with Fuel Cut-off.
I would start looking at the air intake for leaks first. Make sure the intake boot isn't torn anywhere, inspect it throroughly around all grooves for cracks.

Also check the crankcase for excessive vacuum by removing the oil cap with it running, listen for idle speed change, and excessive vacuum entering with the cap off.

This would indicate the crankcase vent valve has failed under the intake.

It can be replaced without removing the intake, it's kind of a pain. You will need the valve and the attaching hoses since they will need to be broken to remove the valve, and they get brittle with age.

The valve is located under the intake, slightly forward of the throttle body. I wouldn't try do do it unless you're really mechanically inclined, its kind of tough.
The part # for the valve is 11617501566.

Then the hose part #s are:
11611432559
11157532649
11617504535
11617504536

2000/ bmw 523i. The car

Check out if any headlight bulb or ac or ac fan remaining On even after you turn the car OFF.if its remaining ON then that must be draining the car battery. But if nothing is remaining On after you turn the car OFF then check the Ignition switch and its connections. Also check for 12 volt at the ignition switch connections. In many cases the ignition switch of the car goes bad.the ignition switch is part of the car where you insert the car key to start the car.if the switch is internally faulty then it will not turn the car OFF ,even when you turn it OFF.Also check the connection between battery to starter and connection between battery to alternator. If any of the connection is loose or not connected properly the battery will get drained. If the battery is too old then it can be actual fault of the battery. In many cases when battery gets old,it stops holding its charge and gets drained in few hours of charged. Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
