I replaced the battery, there
Check your battery cables. Sounds like you may have a loose ground wire. Don't just check at the battery. Follow the cables and check where else they attach (i.e. starter, engine block, frame) be sure to check all connections both pos & ground

My battery has died, I think its in the boot/trunk
hi there is another way you can do it, if you need to start the car to charge the battery or just to start the car to get in the boot, you can, under the bonnet there should be a connector that looks like a brass bolt, it is normally covered by a red cap with a + on it, this is the live terminal that is directly connected to the battery, if you can get someone to jump start it put the red lead on this one and put the black one anywhere there is contact with the body, then you can jump start the car, or even if it is just electric supply you need just do same ....hope this helps

My oil/inspection light is down to two bars, and I
Look in your owners manual. Go to the area where it explains each part of your dashboard and what all the idiot lights represent. Whereever your maintenance reminder is should have a explanation to what it means and a page to get more info. Somewhere in those pages there will be a list of things to do to reset the maintenance reminder if someone other then the dealer do the maintenance. Should be pretty easy to do.
Good luck

Leather Upholstery Cleaning
For those fortunate enough to own a BMW 2002 with leather upholstery, but who may be sweating about what to do with the color wearing off or cracks developing, try Mar Hyde Vinyl Color Spray. I have used only black but it seems to be a perfect treatment for the leather. Clean the leather first with saddle soap, using very little water to make the foam, or with mineral spirits such as lacquer thinner, used very sparingly. Spray the Mar Hyde on. It dries instantly and bonds to the leather without flaking or peeling. It gives an absolutely new appearance to the leather without drying it out as the water-based color compounds do. Mar Hyde should be available at most paint stores or paint distributors.
How to change oil
How to change your oil: * Make sure that the car is parked on level ground and the engine is shut off * Pop open the hood, you will see the metal loop sticking out of the engine block. This dipstick is usually in red for easy recognition. * Have a thick paper towel in your hand and pull out the dipstick with the other, wipe the end of the dipstick until there is no oil left on the dipstick * Insert the dipstick back in and wait for a few seconds. Remove the dipstick once again and look at the end of the dipstick. CHECK and MAKE SURE that the oil level is between the "Low" and the "High" mark. If the oil is at the low mark, it generally take 1 quart of oil to get it up to "High". * Also check the quality of the engine oil. If it is grainy or has little nuggets or looks dirty, it's time to change your oil. * Open the drain plug that is located beneath the engine and make sure your pan is big enough to collect all the oil that drains out. * Also install a new oil filter (From $4). * After draining the oil, tighten the drain plug in securely. IMPORTANT! Do not over tighten the drain plug as it will strip the oil pan and this could cost about $500-$800 in repair at the BMW dealership. Be Careful! * Fill up with the recommended quarts of oil. * Check the dipstick and make sure that the oil level is between the low and high point. * Check your oil level and quality of the oil every week, or bi-weekly when in low usage. Also do not forget to check for oil leaks, a simple glance on the garage floor will do the trick. * For conservatives, remember to change your oil every 3000 miles or 6000 miles if you use synthetic oil. It is a cheap but good prevention against engine damage. Remember the mileage between oil change also depends on your driving condition. * Reset your Oil change reminder on your car. That's it, you made it!
Qs 5) Wheels for 2002 BMW M5 and 2008 M3?
As their make and model suggests they are different and therefore could not be interchanged, fitting a BMW M5 Wheels in the BMW M3 will not work since they have different offset, and forcing it to fit for the M3 would damage your bearing and some part of the steering in the long run, that could possibly result in an accident, innovations such as these must be first consulted from a certified BMW mechanic as only them could do the job properly and they can guarantee their job. Every Car model are engineered to perfection all of its parts are designed to work in harmony with each other, altering one of them which is not suited with other part would greatly affect the performance of your car.
