That is an odd bit of advice. If the oil pump was working poorly enough to cause a noticeable difference on engine performance, then you have already ruined the engine. Although not always the case, typically if you are losing power as you increase speed, it is a fuel problem. Fuel pump could be going out. Inline fuel filter could be dirty and restricting fuel flow. Intank (gas tank) filter could be clogged and restricting fuel flow. Regarding your oil pump, you can check to see if it is working correctly by installing an oil pressure gauge. You might check to see if your engine has solid lifters or hydraulic lifters. If it has hydraulic lifters, your engine will develop a tapping noise when the oil pressure is low because the lack of oil pressure creates a lack of hydraulic lift in the lifters and so they collapse creating a gap between the lifter and the rocker arm. This gap means that the rocker arm comes off the lifter and then smacks the lifter when coming back down resulting in the "tapping" noise mentioned.

There's a small screwdriver hole on one side of cover.

It is in the fuel tank with the pump. Requires tank removal to replace (about 4 hours!). Not a normal required item for this unit unless you have contaminated tank and fuel which would be bad news.

Yeah I have the same problem. The Check Engine, Reduced Engine Power Light and TC Control Light are all on at the same time. It will go off by itself after a few days and then comes back on. I've tried disconnecting the battery and that has worked in the past but this time it is not working. Anybody have any suggestions?

Often the washer nozzles can get clogged. If you hear the washer pump running, you need to disconncect the small hose from the washer nozzle, and see if you get fluid pumped thru it when you hit your washer switch. If so, you need to unclog or replace the nozzle, and if no fluid is pumped out the hose, you need to remove and inspect the washer pump, as it might be dirty, or failed.

Unhook your battery for five minutes and let system drain and it should clear the warning chime .

power steering is adjusted by the pressure settings in the pump. Regardless of the conditions of your hands, there should be assistance from the pump .I would suggest that you have it checked at an accredited steering shop as the power steering pump may be faulty

You can't add transmission fluid to you Torrent. That must be done at a dealer or at you favorite mechanic shop.

You don't. Go to your dealer they will check your transmission fluid levels.

Yes, the instrument panel reinforcement bar, the one running from the driver side across to the passenger side, will have to be removed. Good luck.

I would try disconnecting battery again. Disconnect both cables and touch them together for a few seconds. This will reset all modules. Wierd that you had so many codes after just disconnecting battery. Sometimes very hard to tell if ecm is bad.

Ex wife had similar prolems. Check ignition switch and/or check gas cap for proper seal.

Have your alternator checked, it may charge some but not enough to keep your battery charged. If it has an internal short (blown diode)it can discharge your battery.

on your headlight switch turn dash lights up till "click" dome light comes on

front struts is like normal shock absorber. push front car downward let it bounce it should be 1 or 2 bounces if not replace it . before visual inspection to see if oil coming out of strut. hope it helps
