Yes getting air out of the coolant lines can sometimes help. And the heater hose valve at the firewall is the place to do it. But if you have a bad thermostat or blocked heater core then it won't really help. On my 2000 v6 Passat a coolant flushing helped for a while. But then it became clear that the thermostat was the likely problem, And that's a big job, Basically a timing belt/waterpump job.

You may resolve your problem. I believe that the trouble codes are unrelated and may need professional diagnosis as you need VAGCOM to adapt the throttle.

The alternator is shot, The car will run on a new battery for about 20 mins, then it fizzles out. The alternator contains the regulator, You can take it and get it checked, but I'm sure that is the problem, get your battery charged up while you do the alternator,and keep an eye on the charge light. Make sure it is charging, just because it is new doesn't mean it is good. Hope this helps.

Best place to start is having the battery tested & replaced if needed. Then the battery cable connections cleaned & re-tightened. This is better than sprinkling with Holy water for a car.

Well code 11 means the computer thinks the cam timing is too far advanced, which could be a timing belt issue. Code 34 is supposed to be a problem with the turbo if your car has one. Trouble codes seldom mean a sensor has failed.

The window regulator or plastic tabs attached to the glass is likely broken and will need to be replaced, if you can hear the motor running but the glass does not move. If you're handy with fixing cars, you can purchase a window regulator and change it out fairly easily by removing the door panel and swapping the regulator out. If the plastic tabs on the glass are broken, you will have to take it to an auto glass shop to have new tabs replaced on the glass.

I have an ugly feeling that the adustment for the latch mechanism slipped so that the stationary part is now moving with the mobile part.
I would almost bet that you can lift the trunk lid a little.

Is there no access whatsoever through the floor of the trunk?
On most vehicles there are holes under the mat that allow access to places not accessible from outside.
If your spare is in a horizontal well, then it really isn't likely that you could reach the latch assembly even if you have plugged holes.
You might check your owner's manual to see if your car is equipped with an emergency release for children trapped in the trunk by accident.
If there is, you may be able to reach it by drilling a smaller hole behind the lower seat cushion which should be removable even if the upper one is not.

I confess to being very curious about the potential cure for this problem.

check that the cam shaft is turning ( broken timing belt/chain will not allow position sensors to give spark). Check that the immobiliser is operational. have the fault codes read
