Truck wont start

Starter fluid won't work if the starter won't turn the engine over.

Get the battery load tested...it may not have enough juice to start the truck but have enough to light up the lights

check your fuses and battery connections at the starter. Is the anti theft light flashing? If it is that's your problem. Wait 10 minutes insert the key...wait for the theft light to go out before trying to start.

if that doesn't work you will need to get the starter checked...which means you will have to take it off.

Olds bravada only blows hot air

Is yours manual or Automatic HVAC system ? heating ventilation air conditioning . When is the last time you tried it ? did it work then , last year ? Where do you live south , north ? Have you had any refrigerant added lately ? The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system is divided into three separate sections. The first, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, has all procedures that pertain to a HVAC component or function that is not specifically associated with the manual control system. The second, HVAC Systems-Manual, has all procedures specific to the manual control system. Begin the system diagnosis with the: ?€¢ Symptoms - HVAC Systems - Manual in HVAC Systems-Manual for 4.3 L without DTCs

?€¢ Diagnostic System Check - HVAC Systems - Manual in HVAC Systems-Manual for 2.2 L with DTCs

?€¢ Diagnostic System Check - HVAC Systems - Automatic in HVAC Systems-Automatic for 4.3 L with DTCs

The Diagnostic System Check will provide the identification of the control module(s) which command the system. The use of the Diagnostic System Check will identify the correct procedure for diagnosing the system and where the procedure is located. Review the Description and Operation information to help you determine the correct symptom diagnostic procedure when a malfunction exists. Reviewing the Description and Operation information will also help you determine if the condition described by the customer is normal operation.

What would cause my transmission to whine, but only in gear, not in neutral or park?

Time for a trans rebuilt What your hearing is mostly pump noise, from fine debris in the pump valve bores or worn bores 2001 is way over due to come apart Worn out from heat & wear & seldom seen a fluid change Funny shifting is worn & hardened rubber parts, partially clogged solenoids, dirty valve body, the usual, given the years & mileage on it

How do I drop the fuel tank on a 2001 olds Bravda?

Having a empty tank is real easy it is the ones half full that causes problems of balance But anyway jack car up and support then from drivers side remove the retaining screws around fuel cap and remove cap. then remove rock shield 8-10 bolts 13mm then access the filler pipe and vent loosen clamps these hoses are hard to free from tank.& on rear end side there are the pressure and return hose connectors squeeze clips and remove. With the jack and a small piece of plywood secured tightly to jack place against bottom of tank remove the 4 strap bolts 18mm slowly lower tank down 8 inches now reach on top of tank and remove 2 electrical connectors and vapor return line no clip just squeeze and pull. now as you lower the tank you will be fighting the filler &vapor hoses. But once out then this should have a snap ring holding assembly in tank. Blow dirt free then remove. To reassemble suggest coating inside of hoses with vasoline for easier install same with unit o-ring. A MUST examine the electrical plugs for burnt connections if so replace. Now put it back together.
