There is no factory reset for the alarm sys. But if you are lucky and have left and right doors with key locks try turning it of from the passenger side lock. The biggest issue I've seen with that system is the switch that hooks to the key lock assembly fall of of the lock tumbler or gets broken of buy trying to bust into the car. Also check the hood switch it's on the left side front fender under the hood.

The diagram shows the flash to pass switch is separate from the headlight switch. Is this true? When I look up the part, the headlight switch is on the wand. If yours is on the wand, you would have to take the switch out and cut the red/yellow wire between the two parts of the switch. If you're going to do that, you might as well buy a new switch.

Check for pressure at the back of the filter. If pressure is there, check after the filter. If no pressure before the filter, replace pump. If there is pressure before but not after the filter, replace filter.

If i knew what year make model car it was i could help better. But usually they are under the hood in a fuse relay box.take the cover off and flip it over. Some have a diagram of what fuse/relay controls what.

If the "new" steering column was from the same year and model car, then the problem may be that the electrical connectors are not making good contact. Disconnect the connectors and check to see if each end is clean and that no pins are bent or broken, If they check OK, then firmly re-connect them. Try to start the car. If the car still will not crank/run check the ignition fuse (maybe do this this as 1st step). If the "new" column is from a different year or model, then the connectors may fit together, but the wiring may be different. If so proper contact will not be made through the connection.

sounds like valve guids are wearing out.. drying out and cracking. only fix is to replace them. or try a heavier oil. sometimes that will help depending on the severity of the problem.
