The fill is the dipstick tube. Make sure the transmission fluid is at the right spot. If it is low add some fluid. And check to see if there is any leaks from the transmission and the engine

Just take a rubber mallet and strike the perimeter of the tire a few times and it will come loose. The center nut you're speaking about is for the hub. No need to remove that.

To reset the oil life feature on the Message Center, press and hold the "OIL CHANGE RESET" button until the system counts down (about 5 seconds). The Message Center will display "OIL LIFE RESET TO 100%"

A flashing CEL (check engine light) means the computer is recognizing a "catastrophic failure" in your emissions system, warning you of the possibility of severe damage to your catalytic converter(s). The power loss could be a number of things, but the knocking, combined with the flashing light, means there is a severe problem with one (or more) cylinders. Get your vehicle towed to a shop for full diagnostics.

On some engines the icv is inside the intake manifold and is suppose to move open and closed to vent in extra air for idle. Sometimes they get carbon in the port and the valve sticks. WD40 will dissolve the carbon. The Code can also mean the coil inside the icv is fried. A simple power off ohmmeter test can test the icv. Check for you tube repair videos

Sounds like a wiring short somewhere. With the car not running, how do the brake lights look when you press the pedal? Check if things are different with headlights on or off... don't guess. Could be a bad ground connection also. Also, make sure your battery is charged and the alternator is working.

Just for testing, a few seconds, will the vehicle start and run w/o the belt? Have a helper work the throttle, is the sound gone? If problem not the belt, check the belt driven accessory. Sometimes you can use a long metal rod of some kind, with belt on, one end of the rod touches accessory housing, the other end goes on that bone behind your ear, helps to magnify the sound. I guess you could use a mechanics stethoscope to do the same thing. Have helper work the throttle while you listen to each. Don't get tool or anything caught in belt. This is a serpentine belt, I haven't looked? Maybe an accessory trying to freeze up or bad bearing? I can't think of anything else at the moment?

Ok , I'd like to help you out but nothing is listed here . I remember from your original post that you wanted to replace the PCM, BCM and the GEM . If you could list the problems that you are having we mite be able to help you out . I can't see all those modules being bad . Have you had the modules checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's ? Do you know what DTC'S are ? Your Cougar doesn't have a BCM , Just a GEM - generic electronic control module . This is Ford , Mercury , lincoln's BCM . List the problems you are having . Could have a communication between control modules .

Why ? If your vehicle has that major of a problem your best bet would be to take it to a qualified repair shop . I 'm sure you don't have the tools to deal with this type repair .

PCM, BCM/GEM, Instrument panel/cluster, Key and lock set. Engine and transmission has to be the same.

No relay's PATS is software programmed into the computers on the vehicle . Does the security light flash when trying to start the vehicle ? Burnt bulbs, bad wiring. For the dome, it could be a bad dimmer switch.
