This really works...the fuse that controls the Information display power is the one labelled "ROOM" (15Amp). It is located under the hood in the engine fuses.
I didnt even replace mine, I simply scraped off the dirt/rust from the metal portion and reinserted it. If this doesnt work, test the ROOM port with a functional fuse switch (I used the one labelled HORN, 15amp). If it works with the switch, you have a good part, but need a new fuse.
Free solution to an expensive problem...if you dont know whats wrong.
Are you adapting the unit for a different refrigerant? Expansion valves are usually located on the line going to the evaporator from compressor. Could be right by the evaporator or a tad further back.
Make sure that you use the correct size so the right amount of "flashing" is created for the system.
Well, I think you can rule out the AC/heater fan inside the car. That would make noise even just sitting in the driveway.
Many/most vehicles are designed to run the AC compressor not only when the AC is on but also when the defroster is on. This is to keep the AC compressor lubricated through the winter months also.
It should not be a belt problem as that belt is always turning anyway which should then rule out the pulley bearing at the AC compressor.
I do suspect your problem is a major internal failure of the AC compressor. This can be easily checked by a technician [or yourself if qualified]. Locate the electrical connector at or to the AC compressor. Two people: With the AC turned on, in park, increase the engine speed so you can here the noise. Disconnect the AC compressor electrical connector. If the noise stops instantly, the compressor has failed. A quite expensive repair. Have a reputable shop locate a re-manufactured compressor for you. That will help some on the cost.
Bestaluckto you!!

I would suggest taking it into a dealership repair center as they will have greater access to the required information and parts. Often trying to fix electronic problems yourself can just lead to bigger problems.
The cooling fan comes on when the vehicle reaches a designated temperature to keep the vehicle running at optimal performance. It sounds like your is not kicking on correctly or not at all. It may need to be replaced. See if you can find out where the noice is coming from and post it if you can do so safely. Please advise
The torque converter will set back into the transmission housing. When you put it on the front shaft you have to turn it and wiggle it and push it in toward the rear of that housing. As you spin it it will drop back what feels like two times and there will be almost no clearance in the bell housing between them. So when you put it back up to the engine, the torque converter will spin free and be away from your flywheel flex plate. Then you can spin it to align to where it bolts. If you are bolting up tansmission and the torque converter does not spin freely you will ruin the front pump. I would also change the seal in the front for the converter because leaving the old one may leak. (Put a little grease on it does'nt let new seal run dry on initial start)
it will only line up one way ,so try by putting in one bolt then rotate converter and flex plate if the next hole lines up put a bolt in it DONT TORQUE ANY TILL ALL ARE IN . if the holes don't match up take out bolt and rotate flex plate by one bolt hole and so on till you find the right bolt pattern then bring in all bolts then torque them .Good luck Woody
u will need to have ur car scanned for the trouble code[s] most auto stores such as auto zone /advanced auto offer this service for free check ur local area the code[s]will give u a start point towards repairing ur car--their are 100's of different codes sorry would not be able to offer up a repair cost with information given good luck
Difficult to know how a used car was maintained, but you might try a compression test, dry, then wwith a little oil added to each cylinder and compare readings. If you have a "leak down" tester even better. Without tools, if oil looks clean 500 miles after change, you could try one of the many products used to clean deposits out of engine and piston rings, then later a can of Sea-Foam in the gas tank. Also might insure PCV system is clean and working properly. Some engines respond to a change of brands of oil, but don't try synthetic as it will burn more. Use only good quality oil (Valvoline, Castrol, Kendall, etc.).
There is an adjusting screw on the side of the transmission where the actuating fork meets the cylinder. You adjust so there is just a slight play when the pedal is not being pushed down. If the adjustment doesn't provide any results, then the clutch plate is worn beyond the adjustment range and needs to be replaced.
Try removing and reinstalling the room 15A fuse in the fuse box under the hood, front most left hand corner of the fuse box when looking from the front of the car.
If the battery is working, it may not be charged up enough to actually turn the motor over. You may need to charge it overnight.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------auto HID Xenon light
