Battery light on new battery and new alternator
Again as in common with so many answers to questions i would to have a look but i would suggest that you check the wiring terminals on the alternator first ,Was this alternator a new genuine bosch exchange unit ? and not one from a scrapyard

How to install Sunpro CP7906 (2-5/8
Hello, my name is Israel and I would be glad to help you. You should have four wire leads from the tach. Be sure to mount the tach first. Once it is mounted, run you wires as follows:
Connect the black wire to ground. Either use an existing bolt or use a screw on a non-painted area. Then connect the red wire to an ignition source. A good spot would be the fuse block usually labled ign or piggy back it to one of the ign fuses. You only want +12 volts when the key is in the "run" position. The yellow wire needs to be connected a source when the lights are on and can be dimmed by the dimmer switch. There is also a fuse in the fuse block listed as "inst pnl" that can be used. This yellow wire will turn the light on the tach on and off as you turn your lights on and off. Finally the green wire is for your tach. Since you have no distributor you will have to connect this wire under the hood to one of the coil packs. Depending on the engine number that you have will be the difference in the wire but either way there should be a red/light blue or pink/white wire, make the connection here. Again this will be at one of the coil packs. Hope this helps. Have a great day. Please let me know if you need more help.
