Engine light and traction control light on 2006 chevy hhr

Traction control usually uses part of your ABS brake system to function. Sometimes a dirty (or worn out) wheel sensor is the problem that triggers both "check engine" and "traction control"...This can be verified with the proper diagnostic meter, and many shops will perform this test for free...unfortunately the free check at the auto parts stores does not include reading the ABS/Traction sensors...sensor cost is about $65. sometimes they can be cleaned. Hope this helps.

Engine light and traction control light on

For the engine light, get the OBD2 code read. this will tell you what it wrong and you can get help or advice on how to fix it. As far as the traction light goes, it is most likely a wheel speed sensor failure. If one of the four of the wheel speed sensors fails, you will get a traction control light. It is very likely that your ABS will not work properly if a wheel speed sensor is bad.

What does the 2005 dodge grand caravan a/c blower motor resister look like

Open up Yahoo.com , or dogpile.com , or google , or ........... Type , or copy and paste the following into the yahoo search box . " 2005 dodge grand caravan a/c blower motor resister " . ( If you are already in Yahoo , put your cursor over the 2 in 2005 , press and hold the left , or regular button on your mouse , and drag it across to the last r in resister , and let go . It will change color - probably blue - put the cursor over that highlighted phrase , and right click . at that point you can copy it to paste into the search box , OR ... just go to " search Yahoo for " ... " and click THAT . A new tab should open with the search results . Near the top on the left is the word images . Click that , and you will see LOTS of pictures of the resistor pack . You will also see a picture of where it is held in place by 2 screws in the duct-work just behind the easily moved , or removed glove-box .. ) Your glove box comes out easily by pushing , or lifting the retaining tab at the top in the back . BELIEVE ME , you do NOT want to replace the blower motor . ESPECIALLY if all the problem is , the resistor pack !!! It took me days , and special tools , and PAIN ( ! ) to get that @0# #^**#@ blower motor out , and in . The resistor pack took minutes . I have just taught you how to find stuff like that yourself , but here is an attempt at sending you those pictures . http://img0105.popscreencdn.com/161192899_ru399-hvac-blower-motor-resistor-fits-2005-dodge-caravan.jpg http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/310608_removed_glove_box_2_1.jpg Here's hoping for you !

Why does my 2009 dodge grand caravan shut off while I'm driving?

I had a similar problem with my 2002 Ford F-150. It turned out to be a loose battery terminal cable. I don't know if that's your problem but worth looking into it.

How do i take off the inside drivers door panel on a 2005 dodge caravan

Hi Roberta, here's the instructions on how to remove your door panel. I have to wonder though on why you are removing it, my guess is you window doesn't roll up or down and your replacing the regulator. Any way here goes.

REMOVAL

  1. Remove the plug and remove screw attaching door pull cup to inner door panel.
  2. Remove switch bezel and disconnect power window/memory switch.
  3. Remove screws attaching trim panel to door from below map pocket.
  4. If equipped, remove window crank. (Refer to 23 - BODY/DOOR - FRONT/WINDOW CRANK - REMOVAL)
  5. Remove screw holding door trim to door panel from behind inside latch release handle .
  6. Disengage clips attaching door trim to door frame around perimeter of panel.
  7. Lift trim panel upward to disengage flange from inner belt molding at top of door.
  8. Tilt top of trim panel away from door to gain access to latch linkage.
  9. Disengage clip attaching linkage rod to inside latch release handle (INSIDE DOOR HANDLE LINKAGE).
  10. Separate linkage rod from latch handle.
  11. Disconnect the power door switch, courtesy lamp electrical connectors.
  12. Remove front door trim panel from vehicle.
Hope this helps and have an awesome day Roberta!

I disconnected Battery to replace clock spring. Horn not working and airbag light off. Reconnected battery + 1st then -. Horn sounded. (not alarm) pulled - back off, removed horn fuse, reconnected

You may of forgot to plug back in the ground wire that connects to the horn bracket under the air bag. It's just a single wire and should have a tiny black connector on the end of it.

Over heating

Check antifreeze first to make sure it's full and look for any small leaks in hoses. If that all good, check your water pump and thermostat.

Why do oil light come on after replaceing oil sending unit on 2005 dodge carvan

The engine produces oil pressure from the resistance(clearance ) between the bearings and crankshaft and the sending unit lets you know when there is no pressure. These switches ground the light in the dash around 5 psi. So as the engine gets warmer then the oil gets thinner with large amounts of clearance pressure drops. Test system with mechanical unit normal hot idle pressure should be 30-45 psi if low raise idle speed comes up then engine bearings are worn.

Lack of power in accelleration

Also check the vacuum system. I had a broken vacuum rubber piece at the top of the intake manifold on my 2.4 EDZ engine in my Chrysler Gr. Voyager . It caused low engine performance and unsteady idling.
