Hi, if you disconnect your motor, you will still be able to use your hatch, however it may take a lil muscle to use it. Next, the motor will be behind a panel. Remove it, most of them have clips from behind. Once you get to it, unplug it and you should be set.

Try 2 things...disconnect the battery post for 15 minutes t reset the brain...take the remote apart and clean all contact points (can use light coat of rubbing alcohol, (tape head cleaner is best:) install new batteries in the remote...hope this helps.

studs are multi-splined and are pressed in. Use a good size punch and heavy hammer and drive the broken studs out the back. New studs can be pulled into place using a spacer and a nut or knocked in with a punch and hammer A combination of pull and hammer will probably be best.
