Diesel fuel put into a gas engine how do I fix it
To solve the problem, drain all of the diesel fuel out of the gas tank and refill it with gasoline. (If possible open the fuel line near the injectors, place a flexible tube of some kind over the fuel line and drain enough fuel to allow all of the diesel fuel to be removed. Get as much of the concentrated diesel fuel out of the line as you possibly can before attempting to start the engine.) Then you would have to keep cranking the engine for a while to get the diesel out of the fuel lines and the injectors. Eventually the engine would start and run fine.
My Cruise control stopped working.
The Cheap plastic attachment that holds your cable on the throttle body disolves and breaks off.. Light comes on in the dash, but doesnt maintain speed.. This problem causes transmission shifting issues when cruise is on.. The plastic piece is removable, however not serviceable... Hondas way of getting $400 in parts out of you rather then the $5 plastic piece thats easily servicable/removable.. I fixed mine with inginuity...
My 2004 honda element shifter wont move from the
There are systems to prevent accidentally removing from park.
The key must be on. Sometimes this is a mechanically linked lock, sometimes electrically operated.
Newer cars usually have to be running, and your foot needs to be on the brake. With the engine running, you should hear a quite "thunk" from the transmission area when you put your foot on the brake pedal.
If you are pulling on the shifter while you put your foot on the brake, the actuator will not be able to overcome the friction your pull on the shifter causes.
It is possible that friction in the selector parts is causing the same thing. With the engine running and your foot on the brake, try pushing the shifter farther into Park to see if the actuator will let go.
If it does not feel like you are running into a lockout, sometimes transmissions are just a little stiff to get out of park, especially iof the vehicle is on a front to rear incline, causing it to try to roll against the parking pin.
