Can i ask you how you tested the spark plug to know if it was sparking or not?if done correctly then you should try new spark plugs.be very careful with the distributor cap as i got a shock from it one day and think it carrys a 1000 volts seems very untrue as it runs of a 12v battery and im writing this but a mechanical teacher told me it was that or even higher.i can tell you i felt it like no other shock and i have had a good few of them so just mind that.some of your spark plug leads might be broken or damaged which would cause loss of spark to plugs.im not a mechanic and thats all i can tell you about it.obviously it wont start if it has no sparks to ignite the petrol so id follow the whole sparkplug system from the plugs back to where the wires going to them start till you find problem.i think there is an ignition igniter which could have something got to do with the actual spark being sent to the plugs.it is wired to the ignition so as when you turn the key it should send a spark to your distributor cap and then onto plugs. on my starlet the ignition igniter was a small steel box the size of a matchbox and it was fitted on the frame of the car under the hood right behind the engine on the passenger side from what i can remember it had wires goin to it and maybe a small bracket for it.if your car is turning over and over strong then there should be enough power in battery to send a spark.let me know if that does anythin for ya
hi its not the same model but watch this it explains how to ajust the valve gap vertualy the same on and manual valve ajust ment if you dont want to remove the head manualy turn the engine on the crank shaft nut until the first vakve is top dead center and the valve rocker is slack ajust it and turn engine untill the next one is slack remember the inlet and the out let valves are different size gaps hop this helps ivan any way watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywPAjyMQ-C4&feature=fvsr
Yes. No crank sensor signal usually means no spark. The ecu has to receive crank position to set spark timing. I think you've really hit a big problem. You may need to get in touch with some people who have done this mod. I've always heard it's best and easiest to swap the engine with its ecu and the wiring harness into another car. Or something more compatible with that jdm engine.
sounds like the beginning of an alternater going bad or a battery when it is on remove the positive cable if it is still running its charging and you will soon need a battery replacement hope this helps
