IF you have no conventional flasher unit the flashing action is done electronically and does not require the current draw to make it work as the flashing is done by a transistor turning on and off . With the led lights I think that there would be less stress on the electronics . Read the fitment instructions for the led carefully and it will be explained if you need additional items to make it all work

everyone will tell you that the linkage/transmission will need to be replaced but it doesn't,,most of the time its a bushing and O'Rielly's auto parts sells a "WIPER LINKAGE BUSHING ASSORTMENT" part# 49447 and it sells for about $5 bucks. Its fits tight and took a few minutes to install but its worth the trouble to save about $100

A clogged Converter will heat up cherry red when the exhaust can not get thru. Is the catalytic converter heating up to this point?

It could be a strut. Have someone drive next to you to see what's going on.

don't trust any people for engine oil change take oil level after they change it.
