Cant remove my 08 lancer Tail lights

After removing the two screws, you have to grab both sides of the tail light housing and wiggle the housing out by rocking it left and right while GENTLY pulling it away from your body. You absolutely MUST be careful when doing this because if you use excessive force, you risk cracking the housing and even damaging the wiring.

I have already chipped the corner on BOTH of my housings when attempting to remove them. I had to super glue the pieces back on. It was not a happy moment.

The entire right side of

first check the radio settings there should be a "balance" and "fader" feature on your stereo. check the manual as to how to adjust these. the "balance" feature adjusts left to right. make sure that it is set to 0, then the left and right will be even. but if settings are proper in the radio.then its problem with the wiring's in the radio amplifier.the wires are loose so you get proper sound when the car bumps and sound again gets lost to another bump. you will have to remove the radio under the dash and check out the wiring's.its getting short anywhere.you can use continuity tester to test the short wires. at local car repair center they have tools to check radio with external wires this will help to locate which wire is getting loose at amplifier of radio. so you can replace that wire. its not a costly repair but time consuming and tough job to check each and every wire one by one with continuity tester. This will help. Thanks please keep updated. please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

Bad gas mileage 2009 mitsubihi lancer

There are 2 things to affect the gas millage: 1- Air filter is dirty. 2- O2 sensor is bad. I give a feedback to ECM to adjust fuel injection to maintain the Air: fuel ratio of 14.6 :1. It is now running rich because ECm didn't know the ration is now < 14.6:1 since O2 sensor didn't report this situation so ECm didn't adjust fuel injection to meet the golden ratio. Check these out and replace them to address the problem. Good luck.

My lancer 1.5 GLS is very noisy specifically

If you are thinking it's the exhaust, then tie the exhaust temporarily so not to leave it flexible on its mountings and see if the noise goes away.

Service engine soon after a transmision problem

These two events are probably not related. The serviceengine-soon light just means that the vehicle mileage is approaching a service interval.

The concept is when this comes on the vehicle is taekn to the shop for its routine service and the mechanic resets the light.

If you have an owner's manual you'll find the service intervals -- the mileage is approaching one of those intervals.

The driver side low beam

Hi,
You may need to check on the Lamp Out Module (LOM).It seems the LOM is malfunctioning.
So you need to fix the LOM circuit board to see any connection is fractured or not, which is causing your low beam headlight to stop working.
The LOM connector can be checked to see what is working or not. It looks like it has a message indicator that should tell you the switch is bad. The LOM is located in the instrument panel. It looks like it is just about in the middle of the instrument panel right straight down from the rear view mirror. Or the L.O.M. is located directly beneath the message center. You can just pop off the message center screen by squeezing the sides. The cup holder comes off the same way. The Lamp Out Module should be on the passenger side of the console, about where the passenger’s knee would be. It's got a bunch of wires plugged into one side; it's about the size of a pack of cigarettes, held on by 2 screws. Once you have it removed, you can open it up. There’s a few clips keeping it closed, it can be kind of tricky. When you get it open, you should be able to clearly see a burned area around a few of the resistors.

How to Change the Headlights in a 2008 Lancer ES

You shouldn't have to remove the entire headlight assembly to change the bulbs; They should either twist out, snap out, or have a spring clip that holds the bulbs in.
