You've definitely got some weird stuff happening here. All I can suggest is you get a good Auto Electrician to look at this. It could be anything from a simple short in the wiring, A faulty switch to something more serious in the vehicle's ECU. Have you had the vehicle scanned for trouble codes? This will help figure out if this is an electronics issue or an electrical one. If your paying for the scan ask at 4 or 5 places as prices can be Very different!

Might try operating the handle and manually flipping the latch. Many times older springs can wear and break to where there isn't anything to move the latch to the open position by itself. If you can manually open the latch and get it to latch on the striker, you probably are missing a spring inside the door on the latch itself.

You won't find one. They don't use one and it is not fitted. To check the level is not needed unless you have a leak. If you do, take it to your Jaguar dealership for service and repair. Like most modern EU vehicles, they are sealed for life.

Engines do not require washing. Possibly some water has ingressed into somewhere from your washing. Wait for it to dry perhaps.

Possibly fuel pump.

There is a small bulb or an LED under the cover. Some are replaceable, some are soldered.
