TRY THE STARTER RELAY IN ELECTRIC BOX UNDER HOOD .

Sounds like a dead battery. If you jump it does it start right up? If it does, it's the battery. Possible corrosion at the battery terminals too.

To do a rear main seal the gear box has to come out and the clutch ( if manual) or flex plate has to be removed . If the crank is flanged then the rear main bearing has to be removed to facilitate the replacement of the seal. IT is a big job and the labour costs will be large but I would say $1000.00 would be the upper limit for the job.

You have to see if your coolant sensor is within the correct parameters of operation incorrect readings may not turn a light on but will tell the fans to turn on.

Sounds very bad, if you drive it more like that the engine could fail completely. Its possible the big end bearings banging because you did not put enough oil in the car at some time in the past.

Sounds like an internal transmission issue. The clutches may be chattering. Check the fluid level first but if that is good, get it to a reputable trans shop for diagnosis.
