If you have a console shifter, there should be a round plastic plug to pop out, insert a small screwdriver and push down to release the shifter. On the column it is under it. Push up to release.

Have you connected the aftermarket unit properly? If you have hooked the main power up to a permanent live power in the car it will continuously draw power. Only the memory wire (yellow) should be connected to a constant power, the main power should be from an ACC switched power. If the radio has been installed correctly there will be no power loss while the ignition is off.

Some vehicles may use a "stretch to fit belt". There is no tensioner. There is a small tool that is used to install such a belt. The ones I looked at, around 12--15 bucks. Your local auto store may have one? I don't know if you can use it to remove belt, I've never used one. If you have no need for a used belt, just cut it off. YouTube has video for "stretch to fit belts".

All the people who say you should take you vehicles to a shop do not attempt this repair and cant answer a simple question...well i need to know the capacity as i have tried every shop in town and they are booked for over a month. So i really have no other option left than to do this fix myself... i looked under the hood of my car and cant find the sticker which normal has this information . I have done my homework and literally have watched/read every article on how to do this properly. I am burning up stuck in a town where i dont live a little help would be appreciated

By the blower motor, looks like a computer card with a connector on it.

A:) Throttle body position sensor. Remove it from engine and clean w throttle body cleaner. Pay special attention to the choke plate, as it will send improper reading to computer if the tiny holes are clogged so you may find it easier to remove it from the throtte body to get best results. Be careful not to crossthread the tiny little PITA screws when removing or reinstalling. B:) If it wont crank; try the crankshaft position sensor. If it is bad; replace it and clean throttle body. Most will tell you that a sensor is either good, or its not. I can tell you from experience that a crank sensor failing CAN be intermittent, as mine would shut off in traffic. Id put it in neutral, start it back up, and it would go away for awhile. Then one morning aroud 5 a.m. she left me sitting on the side of the road out in BFE and I missed work and had her towed.

There is a clip the holds the clutch cable to the shift. Sounds like it broke. There was a recall awhile back to replace the plastic clip with a metal one.

You should not drive a vehicle when the check engine light is flashing, it can cause engine damage. Since you probably dont have an OBD reader, they are cheap at any store that sells car parts. The last thing that was done was most likely the issue. Could be a bad spark plug, loose spark plug, broken connection to the spark plug from the coil

If the lights, stereo, and other electronic components have stopped working, there is a strong possibility you have blown a fuse. The fuse box is located in the integrated power module on the right side of the engine. Refer to your car's manual to know which fuse may be causing the problem. On a Dodge Avenger from 2008 the battery is behind the driver side wheel. You have to take the wheel off and then remove the plastic fender and the battery is right there just behind the front light. Here's how to replace it: 1. Block your tires, jack up the left side of your car and place a jack stand under your car. Luckily for me I was at home and had access to my stand. If out and about you may not have access to a stand, make sure your jack is in tip top shape.
2. Remove your tire. You possibly could do it without removing the tire, but you would be making your life so much more difficult. 3. Now you have accessed the wheel well and must remove the fender shield. There are two socket head bolts on the outside which are 9/32." Next remove seven push-in style retainers. You must pry them out carefully so that you can reuse them. 4. You can now for the first time see your battery, but you are not quite there yet. There are two retaining systems in place. First is a cross way bar which is removed using the 13MM Socket. Next you must remove the actual battery restraint. This is held on with another bolt that is also 13MM. 5. Remove the battery cables using the 10mm socket. The red cable comes of fairly easy, but the black cable is a bit of a stretch. If you have short arms you may need some help here. Also I could not get the socket onto the black cable, so I needed to use the open ended wrench. 6. Finally you battery is free. Pull it out carefully and place it aside. Now slide in your new battery. 7. Inspect your cables. Make sure that everything is in good shape and that you have a solid connection before you put everything back into place. 8. Replace everything in reverse order.

If you can locate and pull relay, do that, if not, pull wires off at horn if you can, otherwise pull fuse. If you have other relays same in area of horn relay (same number on relay) try one of them in that horn spot to see if maybe it's just a stuck relay.If you pull fuse for horn, you may find out something else on same fuse, so make sure you check everything else is working.

I suggest taking it right back to the shop that changed the rack and have them fix it.
