It could be the gauge bad but most likely the sending unit which is located inside the tank is the problem--Usually does not happen on vehicles this new but you know how it goes. Fuel tank if sending unit there has to be removed.

Most mechanics will be able to test the fuel level indicator on the dash and my money would be the sending unit in the tank is bad.

You probably have defective lock solenoids in the doors. They are all on the same fuse. If ANY of them work, the fuse is not blown.

Buy a Haynes manual for the vehicle ( most auto stores carry them). With this manual you can do nearly any repair on the vehicle, they give you step by step directions.

You can look around on the web for hours and not come up with anything or you can purchase a online tech manual subscription. www.Alldata.com is one. It cost about $25 for the first vehicle you register and last for a year. If you add another vehicle after that it will be cheaper. Also, there are discount codes online if you look around on line. Type in discount code for alldata. The manuals have everything you will need from A thru Z. They are like dealer manuals. Oh, if you go there to sign up go the the diy category.

It could be the power lock motor. You could have a short or bad wiring harness. Might just be a fuse that connects to both. But since you said it's only the driver side. When the power lock motor is bad it can trigger your alarm because they're wired together.

Hope that helps. Good luck.
