How do you know it needed a crank sensor ? Does it have spark , did you pull a coil if it has coil on plug ignition or plug wire an see if it has spark ? If there is spark you do not need a crank sensor ! Try spraying carburetor cleaner in the intake an see if it fires , if it does you have a fuel delivery problem ! An when you change a crank sensor you need to have a crank relearn done with a scan tool. not a code reader !

if the belt is still intact I would guess that you blew out the power steering pump.

This could be something as simple as a ground not making good enough connection. The fact that it worked for an hour makes me think it could be a simple fix.
