My Nissan 2008 pathfinder cranks but fails to start. Checked the fuses and they are all okay. So what do I do.

So you have no spark when the engine is cranking? If so, you have identified the ignition system as the problem. You need a diagram of how the ignition works on that model. Things to check are the Ignition Control Module (igniter), the crank position sensor (this tells the computer when to send spark to the plugs.), and whether the coil pack is getting battery power to the coils.

Alarm on truck does not work anymore

Check all connections for corrosion and clean them with 4 O that's OOOO STEEL WOOL NOT A WIRE BRUSH SPRAY THEM WITH PB BLASTER next check or replace the key fob battery now it seems that the power loss deleted your fob and programming of the alarm so go back to programming the alarm also do the same for the horn contacts cleaning and spraying them and also check for broken wires and a blown fuse look up your alarm manufacturer or if installed from the factory get your owners manual or download it from nissan and you should be back in active mode again the electrical connections are exposed to the weather and inside the vehicle also are subject to corrosion and oxidation and most problems are from this and a good cleaning will bring them back to normal always make sure to not over spray or lubricate the connections because bridging will result just a little goes a long way whether spray or electrical grease//carbon conductive only// will do it with grease use a tooth pick and a dots worth with spray one quick shot then let excess run off and clean outside with alcohol the grease is the best to use it stays there for years and protects from corrosion and oxidation and there's less chance of bridging/// jumping the circuit in the plug from one pin to another so there ya go all is explained and good luck and go slow and cover your bases and you'll be happy in the end this also works on all engine sensors the same applies and you will increase your engine performance and immediately feel your gas pedal get harder because all voltage is at the desired levels remember your engine is powered by gas but it's electrically controlled by voltage operated sensors this will keep your ECM//PCM WHICHEVER THEY CALL IT //AKA ENGINE COMPUTER RUNNING YOUR ENGINE AT THE OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE LEVELS ==BETTER MILEAGE AND IN CASE YOUR WONDERING I'M A TAXI MECHANIC IN NYC WITH 50+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN ALL SYSTEMS SO THIS IS ACCURATE GOOD INFO YOUR GETTING AND POST BACK IF THERE'S STILL PROBLEMS I DON'T THINK SO BUT HEY CARS ARE MACHINES AND ANYTHING GOES JUST RECORD WHAT YOU DO ON PAPER THEN WE HAVE AN ELIMINATION CHECK LIST TO NARROW THINGS DOWN ONCE AGAIN GOOD LUCK AND GO SLOW AND ENJOY THE LEARNING PROCESS IT WILL PAY OFF OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND THAT GOES FOR EVERYBODY ELSE WHO COMES ACROSS THIS THREAD GREASE FOR PEACE STEPHEN

2008 nissan pathfinder rear hatch does not open. itis electric

Do you hear it make noise but not unlatch? Check the owners manual to see if there is a bypass to unlatch it when this happens, most cars have a plug you remove to trip the latch.

How to fix the heat to work all the time when not moving

This can happen if your water pump is failing. You will get the most heat when your water pump is forcing the fluids to circulate within the engine block.

Will not start when below 45 degree ambient temp. Cranks but no start. While cranking the tach does not see any rpm. Put jumper cables on ad car will start. I am thinking crank position sensor.

I am thinking that battery does not have enough capacity to turn engine over fast enough for crank sensor to see (ooh yeah they have a min rpm too) as with most computers today lots of things going on all at once like counting 15 rpm of crank shaft before turning on fuel injectors

Flat battery, doors locked. Keyless entry. How do I open doors to 2008 Nissan Pathfinder as there is no key slot on doors. If there was, of course I would use the key. Thanks rhodesworks!

Auto club techs have special tools that can reach around the window and unlock in such a situation. They have done so for me.

Water comes out of my 2008 pathfinder

Clear water coming out of the tailpipe is NORMAL! Of the many by-products of combustion, water is one of them. During the chemical reaction of combustion with a hydrocarbon, hydrogen is "freed" along with carbon and oxygen. There symbols are H, O, and C. The water molecule's structure is HOH or H2O. The main by- product is carbon monoxide or CO. Anyway if the water looks like clear water, that's normal.
