2008 Nissan Maxima - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
What causes melting of the ignition coils?
Multiple modules send and receive digital data along a data bus. If one of the modules shorts out, it can disrupt data flow for all modules on the bus. I'd have to look up the wiring for your car (which I'm not gonna do), but I highly doubt that the BCM is responsible for ign coil burnout. That's almost always caused by driving on worn spark plugs.

How can tell which tpms is bad?
You cannot, it takes a special radio communication tool that talks to the sensors one at a time to see what they are doing. The tool is not cheap and most dealers charge to have your sensors checked. The best thing is to find a tire shop that has one.

2008 maxima shut off while driving changed battery
have you had the OBD codes read ? if not do that and send codes if not able to get them yourself , as only letter and numbers , try a code reset and see if that clears the issues as can sometimes be the only thing needed

Seems to be slipping when accelerating
That may be a problem with your wheels. Go to a mechanic, or someone that specializes in car wheels (?). Tell them about this problem, and have them look at the traction. :DHope this helped! <3
