fit a new unit, The part that has snapped is probably a tiny leg of plastic that is irreplaceable and not repaireable.

Ouch! Did you not know there was a recall on this? Possible your year wasn't on it, but this problem does in fact affect all years regardless. A brand new one requires a dealer flash, basically needs to be programmed. You have 2 options, bring your car to dealer to have them flash the new master switch. OR pull one out of a wrecking yard (does not need to be flashed), it's plug and play. What I'd do if I were you, is find one at a wrecking yard, and call the dealer, give them the serial # on it and see if it's a known good one, meaning it's been updated not to burn up when it gets a little wet. New= dealer flash, Used, is plug and play.

The headlights run through a relay (#46) through the BCM. If the relay were bad (very common and has a recall) both lights would not work. Sooo, I'm thinking check the wiring and pigtail that goes to the bulb. People that use Silverstar halogeon bulbs will burn that wire and or the connector. Make sure these are sound, check for power at the connector too.

A few things could be wrong here. 1. if your running low on anti-freeze and your engine is getting hot, the thermal switch on the AC compressor will shut it off until it cools down. 2. You could be low on freon. 3. Your compressor may be bad with leaks.

Jim, your question isn't clear. If your talking about your low beam headlights only lighting when you turn it over, then yes it's indeed the HDM relay under the hood. Yes you are right about the ignition problems, if the ignition switch is bad, a common problem is your cluster gauge or gauges go whacko.

Follow the radiator hose back to the engine on the top side. Where the hose connects to the engine is the thermostat housing. Remove the hose clamp and hose (when vehicle is cool). remove the housing itself and the thermostat will be right in front of you. .

The fuse is label LTR in the under hood fuse block number 13 which requires a 20 amp fuse.

There are 2 either 10 mm or T30 torx head bolts around the armrest. They are semi hidden so you have to peek down holes. The rest is held on by plastic clips, there is a special tool for these, you have to feel between the trim panel and door till you find them and pry carefully. 1 of the bolts may be under the switch panel if its a front door

A manifold gasket leak will cause a power loss everywhere you drive, although a hot engine may lose more power than a cold one. You can check you spark plug color. A manifold leak makes a lean mixture so the plug should show the typical white-ish deposits.

their are a few ----fuel filter clogging the trailblazer is one of the few trucks left that still has an external filter buy ,rent or borrow a fuel pressure tester ---fuel pump going---air filter clogging check the gauge on side of plenum while running---needs tune up --egr carbon build up needs cleaning or replacement---cat converter clogging up while running feel exhaust if feels restricted may need to replace converter

The Chevy V6 has a recall on bad intake manafold gaskets. You may not qualify, but they need to be replaced. Not too difficult if you are a backyard mechanick

The first thing you need done is to have the battery load tested, you can get this done free at any Autozone parts store, others offer this free service as well

You would need to first check the engine computer for trouble codes to proceed. If the warning light is "check gauges" its telling you one of the gauges (fuel) is not working. It could be the sending unit in the gas tank.
