My 2008 Ford Mustang 4.0 starts but dies right after. The PCM relay and fuel pump relay get hot and also the diode dude. As soon as my over drive light blinks it turns off!

Question edited for clarity. Out Fixya Pro Technician has the answer to this question from back in July! It must have had spam on it and has been removed. Jeff Armer Jul 13, 2022 Hook up a scan tool (a professional grade scan tool ) and check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes in all the modules (computers) on the vehicle . One or more will probably have a code stored to tell you what might be wrong. ..

Would a bad serpentine belt on my 2008 Mustang cause my heater to blow cold air sometimes

if the serpentine belt is original then have it changed as it is probably hard and not gripping properly it is a reason that the ac compressor will not be at full efficiency , just like power steering not as good as it should be and alternator not charging properly the inspection of the belt is in the grooved section and it shows minute cracks in the groove ribs then it is overdue for a change

Had these raxiom projector headlights installed in a 2008 mustang now none of my front lights work

Take it back to where they were installed. High energy bulbs take hundreds or a thousand volts to get the to come on. Then 12 volts keep them running. Most likely the inline module is bad.

I have a chirping or bearing sounding noise, that I am trying to isolate on my daughters college car. Sound varies with RPM.

Get an inexpensive mechanics stethoscope and put the end on the shaft part of idler pulleys, housing near bearings of alternator and water pump etc. If that doesn't give clear results, try squirting a little water on the serpentine belt as if runs [a length of small drip irrigation hose works really well to get a little water on the belt]. The water will provide harmless temporary lubrication to the belt and change the sound if it is caused by the belt slipping.

Why is my blower only blowing out of my defrost in my 2008 mustang

The A/C and heat is regulated by a vacuum activated door under the dash called the actuator door. There may be a vacuum leak causing the door not to work. Check under the hood on the driver's side. There is a vacuum manifold that provides vacuum for several different functions inside and underneath the hood. One will be marked A/C and have an arrow leading to the proper hose. Check all the hoses for leaks because if one leaks it will affect all the vacuum for all the other functions. Vacuum leak may be the problem.

I have what sounds like a squeaky bearing sound at any speed. Varies with RPM. Looking for likely culprits.

you're on the right track, removing the serpentine belt and manually rotating/ spinning the pulleys listening for a dragging, or grinding. If its very bad you may even see a outward movement. hope this helps!

2008 mustang and wipers work fine but washer fluid wont work?

The fluid could be frozen in the hoses or the pump is broken. If you drive the car for awhile, the hoses will thaw out and the washers will work. Try getting fluid good to -20F. This fluid will be good for most areas in the US. Replace the pump if you turn on the switch and hear no sound from the engine bay. Have someone standing close by for this test.

I suspect either a bad voltage regulator (should show up on the alternator test) or something is draining the battery when off. Draining a battery below 12V can cause un-repairable damage to a battery although if only a few weeks old you might try to recondition it with a reconditioning charger.

Thermostat housing blew out 2 days after being flushed by dealership,I have already fixed but is this a common thing or is the dealership holding out for much bigger problems to come by chance history

Go to a site called "Eric the Car Guy" if you have a 4.6L V-8 engine. I own 2 engines like this and was surprised about photos and evidence presented. Also try AboutAutomobiles.com and enter your Year and Model for TSB's and owner concerns. For the 4.6L, at about 135,000 Miles, the intake crumbles and leaks in the front around the thermostat.

If it is a manual transmission there won't be a dipstick for it . You will need to park on a level surface and remove the fillplug from the transmission.insert your index finger up to the first knucle into the hole. If you can touch the oil the level is fine, if notyou can add some till you do or it starts running out the hole and reinstall plug.If you can touch the oil
