Clogged heater core, have the rear heater core flushed and then replace your coolant. This has been so common in the past few years with all cars but it rarely happened in the past or in my shop anyway.
Brake lights do not turn
Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. Check your bulbs and fuse first. The fuse is in your fuse box and it should be labeled, such as tail lamp possibly. If the fuse and the bulbs are good, you probably need to change the brake switch. It is located right above your brake pedal. You may want to try to mess with the release button because sometimes they get stuck. If it is not, change the whole switch. It cost about 20 dollars. It is a round chrome looking cylinder more then likely. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for using FixYa and have a good day. For the fuse, check under your hood.
What are the probable causes of DTC P0440?
Code 440 is for a general failure of the EVAP system which is the vent system for the gas tank.
The engine computer checks the system every few minutes and if it detects a leak the check engine light comes on. The light tells the driver there is a problem and to get it checked out.
You would need a shop manual to get all of the testing procedures for the system and you would need to check for leaks.
