I would guess a bad ground wire. First check the battery terminals. Then check the black wire coming off the battery. Make sure this connects firmly will no dirt or rust in the way. If that doesn't work I'd think your had a problem with the ignition cylinder (where the key goes) that's much harder to work on though.

None of these answers are ever useful......where is the fuse located......what number is it.....no one wanta to replace the whole window.....just the fuse

Find the large rad. hose at the top of the rad. follow that to where it connects to the block . there is your thermostat.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. Check your bulbs and fuse first. The fuse is in your fuse box and it should be labeled, such as tail lamp possibly. If the fuse and the bulbs are good, you probably need to change the brake switch. It is located right above your brake pedal. You may want to try to mess with the release button because sometimes they get stuck. If it is not, change the whole switch. It cost about 20 dollars. They did away with them when they started using the drive by wire system. Electronic throttle.

Code 440 is for a general failure of the EVAP system which is the vent system for the gas tank. The engine computer checks the system every few minutes and if it detects a leak the check engine light comes on. The light tells the driver there is a problem and to get it checked out. You would need a shop manual to get all of the testing procedures for the system and you would need to check for leaks.
