I just bought a 2005 A6 4.2 Quattro

In my A4, it's on the side of the dashboard (driver's side), where the dash mates to the door when the door is closed. Check there and see if you can pop off the end panel on the dash.

You need to scan the codes to find what the fault is. If you have access to a VagCom you can get the codes yourself. Otherwise take it to AutoZone (they sometimes will check the codes for free), the dealership, or a smog test station and get the codes checked.

2007 audi A6 CVT transmission

you can drain the fluid but you need a special refill tool from a vw /audi garage these are only available from dealers so my advise is take to one of them the oil also has to check at certain temperature (35 degrees celcious) this all done by diagnostic equipment . i live in the uk and i was quoted £105 to change the oil in my a6 its worth having it done than trying to do it yourself

Where r the pollenfilters located

For 2007 Audi A6 depending on the engine type, there are two placements for cabin air filters:
1. The cabin air filters are placed on the right bottom side of the central console - passenger side, for 2007 Audi A6 Avant. Remove the carpet and behind the plastic cover are cabin filters. When installing new filters see for the correct position - air flow is indicated by an arrow. See pictures below:

tdisline_339.jpg 2. For the second placement, besides you need to remove the glove box for access and replace cabin air filters.
Check first your car situation. If you will give me your e-mail address, I will send you photos with cabin filters replacement for 2007 Audi A6, because the www.fixya.com website is limited to 150 kb traffic.

you probably need an amplifier if the power on the radio is not shutting off when this happens. this vehicle also has a fiber optic system that runs the radio so you'll probably need to take it to the dealer for repair
