When you don't know which fuse is which, I would go ahead and check them all. All you need is a 12 volt test light which has a sharp probe on one end and an alligator clip on the other end. Ground the alligator clip to a piece of metal by the fuse box. Then turn the ignition switch to the on position. Then probe both sides of every fuse. It should light on both sides. If you find a fuse that only lights on one side, that fuse is blown. If it doesn't light on either side, skip that fuse as that is not the bad one (those are generally for headlights or engine components). If none of the fuses light up, check your ground or change to another ground location. You can always check to make sure your tester is working by checking it across the battery. If it doesn't light there, the tester bulb is burnt out. When you find the blown fuse, replace it with the same color/same amps. Hope this helps. Good luck :O)

Most newer cars have a seperate fuse for each headlight low and high beam. check the fuses should be in the under hood fuseblock.

Check for a bad fuse. I have also seen in the jeeps that the connectors in the back get corroded and you need new connectors sometime pig tails.

Consider replacing the potentiometers. They wear over time. Check with a VOM and you may find similar "opens" on the throttle pedal potentiometer. Throttle and perhaps stepper motor are suspect. PREsume that you checked for leaks...., right? Doc

The WPR fuse is for the wiper and washer system. It is a 25 Amp fuse that powers up the WIPER HI relay, WIPER relay, and the WSH relay.

Have a jeep patriot had a few issues with engine light coming on, took and had new sensor fitted stayed off a few days. Car shudders and jolts at low revs when accelerating sometimes and my mpg was at 25 around the town but now 18 maximum, need some help regarding wether it's worth taking back to have the light cleared to come back again! Worth a car battery reset? Also have a dodge petrol cap, takes ages to fill up stops every 50p of fuel, could this be the engine light problem or is their a separate light for that, any advice would mean the world regards

Thank you Crip. I had the same problem with my 2007 Jeep Compass. Pulled the rubber hose back between the door and main body to find a broken wire! All sorted now, windows working fine.

Don't know where you found those DTC'S , but they are not OBD 2 codes . DTC's come with a letter in the front of the number > P- for powertrain , engine , transmission . B - for body DTC'S - lights - C- chassis ABS . Trouble Codes

It will be the black one. If you do not have different colored cables then look at the battery. There will be a negative sign embossed on the battery itself. You will also notice that one terminal is usually larger than the other.

It is probably your button. Pretty easy to replace and verify. If you take it out and cross the wires to open it, and it opens, then you know for sure it is the button.

wow, 3 fans in car and we get to guess,why.? first what are you doing.? (guess,i want cab heat to blow?) parked key off? hot engine wanting heat from HVAC vents ? what? or under hood and radiator fans are dead but overheated. HVAC is a blower fan,or blower, the fuse is called blow. does blower sound ok on high???? SouND? if yes (if no controls are bad) is air flow weak. yes. that is dampers failing both the blower and dampers and heater core are in the center tor right(usa) of dash in hugh black box. first check fuses then scan the car. yes, you must scan it see HVAC errors or its all just a waste of time.. some models have filter and packed up ,my block air flow some have it others dont,. not fun finding it. most are behind glove box (after removal)
