sounds like O2 sensors to me. I havent changed one on a mustang yet but I havent had any trouble with any others that I have done, they screw in like a spark plug but you will need a special tool, I hope this helps you.

You would need to know if you are lacking spark or fuel when it happens. Could be a relay, the ignition module, or a list of other things.

sounds like they arent getting power which I would check first

did you have an amp test on the altonator? should be running about 14 plus volts with the car running then check it with the lights on if you can

The only place they tell you about are the one under the front glass on the top of dash drivers side. The rest are so called secured location only given to law enforcement. You may gind one ubnder the hood stanped into the sheet metal on the engine firewall as well.

Open trunk, pull back any trim & if you don't seethe lamp socket, you will see nuts to remove the tail light housing from the body
