The dealer is probably correct

You might be only needing soldering, so I would suggest that you take it to a guy who knows about fixing electronics and they should be able to fix it. If the remote is not communicating then you need to call the dealer to tell you how to reprogram your remote to communicate with the alarm module in your car. hope that helps.

If it is the base model (S or SE) then it has disc front and drum rear brakes, if it is the SL then it has four wheel disc brakes.

how about criuse control it also not working you may have bad switch 3 wire switch at brake pedal are harder to diagnos 2 wire one wire has power till you press the pedal most all cars brake light is fusible link or special fuse for it is on all the time. If no pwr even with key off at the brake switch key on or off on any wires then you may need to find pwr. to the system , Note if any fuses are burnt repalce them same type if that fixes something yeah but it also may return .

the key to finding the problem here is to have a couple of very important tests run, 1st you need to have the electronic engine control system tested for fault codes, this is not just a passive code test this is an active and passive test that the dealer can do, it shows what is malfunctioning as well as pulling up stored fault codes from the computers memory, the next test is a fuel pressure leak down test, this also requires special equipment so it needs to run by a shop or dealer, U most likely have fuel pump pressure check valve failing, there is no magic fix for problems like yours, just careful testing.

There are two ways to turn off the light. The preferred way is to have the car scanned and at the end of the scan, have the light reset. The other way is to disconnect the battery for a minute. When you reconnect the battery you will find that the check enging light is off.
