How to remove the head rest out the front seat of a 2003 BMW 745li

Hi, at the back of the seat you have 2 parts you have to take off 1) bottom pocket insert 2) and the insert that's at top of that witch is just below head rest. 3) once those 2 parts off you will see the head rest and motor. Theirs two pins, one on each side of the chrome arms. Pull pins out and head rest slides.

How to replace a timing chain on a 2003 745li with a 4.4l engine

Why do you need to? Who told you it was bad? Just because you car won't start, doesn't mean it has anything to do with the BMW chain. The timing chains are double roller chains that are probably the last thing that would ever break no matter how many miles are on it (200, 300 or more thousand). They are also incredibly complex to change (BMWs have variable hydraulic timing) and require specialized tools not available except by special order. It requires a lengthy engine dissasembly. If you have changed timing belts and chains on other cars and feel you might as well try BMW, then my advice is to sell the car now, because it will never run again.

745il hood wont open

That... is a very very difficult job. It SHOULD be, since that helps prevent car thieves from stealing your battery or your car. You may be able to get to it by removing the grille. If not, you'll need to get past the radiator from underneath. First, though, try pushing down on the hood while someone pulls the hood release.

Where is fuel pump relay location 2003 BMW 745 SERIES LI

Hello everyone, please forgive me for the question but i honestly can't seem to find the answer to it. I want to change my fuel pump relay in my 2003 745Li. If I'm not mistaking, the fuel pump relay is located in the trunk next to the battery. I did notice the green cube looking thing (fuel pump relay) in the trunk but there were two of them. Do i need to purchase two fuel pump relays? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. ??

What is it when all lights go off on the dashboard of my BMW 745LI and eventually comes back on

Might be a loose fuse or connector. Try wiggling the fuse and/or wires leading to the fuse box.

745 bmw il 2002 idles rough

This is usually caused by the crankcase vent valves leaking air. These valves are round and sit on top of the front of each valve cover at the front. The diaphragm leaks and causes a vacuum leak and the car runs rough.

2006 BMW E53. All wipers and cigar lighters not working after battery fail.

If you have a multimeter remove and test the fuses for continuity (OHMS) as fuses can look OK but they have blown. If your replacing fuses ONLY replace the with one of the Same colour and Amp rating.
