Remove covering on lower intake manifold and clean surfaces.
Inspect manifold gasket condition. Gaskets can be re-used, if not damaged. Position new gasket in seal channel and press lightly in-place. Repeat procedure for each gasket position.
Position upper manifold on lower manifold.
Apply Mopar® Lock & Seal Adhesive (Medium Strength Threadlocker) to each upper intake manifold bolt.
Install and tighten bolts to 12 N·m (105 in. lbs.) using torque sequence.

What is the actual issue are you having with the removal? Starter motors are usually one small wire connector, one large wire connector and two bolts holding it in place.
The most common issues with starter motor replacing are physically getting to it and getting it past other things in the engine bay to get it out.
Ryather than this being about the rusting of the hoist mechanism, it is merely useful instruction about the clamp holding the tire to the wire of the hoist. After you have lowered the time from under the van, you need to drag the spare out far enough to see the side that would have been laying on the ground. On that side, you see two spring engaged flanges that you fold to allow the device to be pulled thorough the hole of the wheel. It seems you may have to fold them by hand. If you mistakenly occupy yourself by sqeezing spring loaded hooks on the other side of the wheel, these appear to do nothing to what is blocking movement through the hole in the wheel. Whether having to do this manually is by mischance, it does work.
