The coolant temperature sensor is an input to the engine computer PCM , if there were a problem with the sensor the engine light would be on , is your check engine light on ? There is a fan control relay an a fan controller - electronic module ! If your cooling fans are not working look for one of these being bad !
GT Fan Control Module
I have searched the internet for a
fan control module for an 03 eclipse gt. I am not sure if that's the exact term for it but, it's the "box" on the back of the driver side
radiator fan that connects the three connector plugs that controls the fans into it. My problem is that neither
radiator fan works but, when I tap the back of the box the driver side fan try's to come on but will not stay on. The car will overheat if left sitting for awhile, I haven't let it completely overheat and turned it off before it got too hot. When I'm driving it stays in the normal range about half way up the gauge but if I stop it starts going up. If anyone knows where I can get one of these "boxes" that would greatly help me. Thanks
