Fixing my car
installation not correct. Make sure it is set all the way into the transmission. Should here a click.
I have just replaced my cv joints in the front , and now there is a grinding sound when I am turning a corner?
Did you completely remove the shafts to repair/replace the cv joints. If so then one shaft may be longer than the other and binding up on cornering. Check that the wheel bearings have been properly adjusted . IF you replaced the 1/2 joint on the shaft still in the transmission the it may not have been assembled properly (cage in wrong) and this is causing a problem. Either way I suggest that you seek an accredited service shop to check out the noise before any damage is done.
2 way wire diagram
as cars run DC power the polarity doesn't matter in a solenoid unit such as door lock if it has 2 wires ( power wire and earth wire ) Just reverse the wiring and it should work
1996 Subaru Legacy GT - Twin Turbo, manual trans:
Expect to hear your head gasket needs replacing, at a minimum. White smoke means it's burning coolant. How much it will cost I can only guess, but usually a head gasket repair- a few hundred dollars-it's pretty time consuming and labor intensive, especially with all the turbo stuff that could be in the way. Good luck.
