The fuel filter on the Cruze is underneath the car on the passenger side. To access it: • Remove the aerodynamic housing • Keeep an oil pan underneath to catch the residual fuel • Use a wrench to open up the filter, and once you see the O ring, start unwinding by hand • A housing will drop out with the fuel filter-put some pressure, and you can remove the fuel filter.

I had the same issue with my 2014 Cruze TDI. It was solid, every time I started the car the error would appear. So I disassembled the air intake and everything was clean except for the sensor between the MAF sensor and the throttle body. I have no idea why it was dirty when everything else was very clean. But I cleaned it a week ago and the light has not come on again. I hope this helps.

Was any of the previous spark plugs fouled? Dirty? If so you need to investigate whether the problem is oil or fuel causing the fouling. Also a possibility is that you have a bad plug wire and when you changed plugs you disrupted the plug wire enough to make contact. Now possibly the plug wire is showing too much resistance causing a misfire at idle. Only way to be sure is to have the car scoped to see if the wires are proper or defective. That is unless you are the change parts and try type. In that case try a new set of wires. The reason is because at idle the voltage is not as high as it would be at higher rpm.

Sounds like your car will need a new thermostat heater unit. Its all one piece and will need to be replaced as an assembly. It should be under warranty seeing as the car will not pass state inspection with this failure. It is computer controlled.

I have the same vehicle in an automatic transmission. My car had the same problem, and it turned out that the thermostat was stuck open and had to be replaced. A simple 90 minute trip to the dealer fixed this. Bonus for me, as it was covered under warranty. I hope this helps!

Be super careful with that, there air bag system are very fragile and cost an arm and a leg... Highly recommend to not pulling it ur self or at all, you will have other problems with it and a constant check engine lite on.Also if u get in there and the bag goes off on you it can know you out and give you a black eye, lol but not funny, need to understand they come out with major force....Good luck and stay away from it, it can save ur life later....
