CHECK BELOW.. 25458898-ms2db0pp00uj21y1nio4xcxs-1-0.png Tightening torques Bolted connections Tightening torque Bolts, nuts M 6 10 Nm M 8 20 Nm M 10 45 Nm M 12 60 Nm Deviating from above Exhaust pipe to manifold 40 Nm Installation Note t Only remove the new cylinder head gasket from its packing immediately before installing. t Handle the new gasket with extreme care. Damaging will lead to leaks. - Place a clean cloth in cylinders so that no dirt or emery cloth particles can get in between cylinder wall and piston. - Also prevent dirt and emery cloth particles from getting into the coolant. - Carefully clean cylinder head and cylinder block sealing surfaces. Thereby ensuring that no scoring or scratches are formed (when using abrasive paper the grade must not be less than 100). - Carefully remove metal particles, emery remains and cloths. - Set No. 1 cylinder piston to TDC and then turn crankshaft back slightly. - To centralize, screw guide pins from 3450/1 into front outer holes for cylinder head bolts-flechas-. - Place the new cylinder head gasket in the centralizing pins -A-. Lettering (Part No.) must be readable. - Fit cylinder head, screw in 8 remaining cylinder head bolts and tighten by hand. - Remove the guide pins with tool 3450 by the bolt holes. To do this, turn the tool left until the pins are removed. - Fit remaining cylinder head bolts and tighten hand-tight. - Tighten cylinder head in tightening sequence as follows: - Tighten all bolts to 30 Nm. - Then tighten all bolts a 1//4 turn (90 °) further using a rigid wrench. - Then tighten all bolts again a 1/4 turn (90 °) further. Note There is no requirement to retighten the cylinder head bolts after repairs. The rest of the assembly is basically a reverse of the dismantling sequence. Note When the camshaft is turned, the crankshaft must not be at TDC. Danger of damage to valves or piston crowns. Installing toothed belt and adjusting valve timing > Chapter. Filling with new coolant > Chapter. - Interrogate fault memory > Chapter.

ABS and power steering light is constantly on

Hi. The only link between abs and power steering that springs to mind is the steering wheel angle sensor but you really need at least a code read of the systems as the faults may be unrelated. I think spending a few quid at the local garage and getting a proper insite into what is going on will be money well spent. The pedal vibration will probably turn out to be the abs activating on low speed braking as it is seeing a low speed signal from one wheel sensor. This can be caused by an abs speed sensor being improperly gapped or a damaged sensor pick up ring among other things, Again without some real details or codes from the ecu its hard to give a real diagnosis. A visual inspection of the wheel sensors and pick up rings may reveal something - you don't need to know exactly what your looking at just that they all look the same and clean, no missing teeth on the pick up rings or cracks. If you get at least a code read and post the results we might be able to delve a little deeper.

Volkswagen Polo 1.4 Automatic. I can't move when engaged into drive or reverse. What can be the problem please?

This will likely take a diagnosis by a professional mechanic. The problem has about 4 different possible causes and I can't eliminated them for you. 1. The hydraulic pump might have not been installed correctly. 2. Your transmission fluid might be low. 3. The transmission might have been damaged before or during the pump replacement. 4. The solenoid pack that regulates the flow of fluid in the valve body might be faulty causing the transmission to malfunction. I am sorry to tell you that Volks wagons are expensive to work upon. I will mention that in another brand of Japanese car, a bad interlocking solenoid could be bypassed by pressing a button or jamming a wire in it to keep it depressed and the car would shift gears then. A mechanic might say the assembly might have to be fixed when only the solenoid had to be replaced. But as some of the potential causes are likely to ruffle a mechanic, depending if stay with the one that changed the pump, I don't want to "stir" trouble and my last comment may be totally useless. Sadly, you will have to make use of a professional mechanic experienced with Volkswagons. This is going to sting and I am truly sorry for your predicament. You never know your luck. Maybe it is low transmission fluid.

Hello I have a 1997 Volkswagen Polo Playa.

Question edited into written English, well as far as I could :>D You saw *we* tested but we didn't "U tested my battery it read 12.5". "I tasted my fuse box". What did it taste like? Number one tip, NEVER disconnect batteries. They will last a couple of weeks or more even if they are weak. https://www.fixya.com/cars/r29912554-changing_battery_not_create_problems Voltage is one thing, but batteries need to be load tested as well. If you remove battery leads the lead posts and connectors oxidize. Clean the connectors with a wire brush and smear them with Vaseline to stop oxidization and improve continuity. Radios only need voltage to run and not 'amps' as in current, not amplifiers. Some battery positive connectors have a large 60 Amp fuse in the positive battery lead, mine is Yellow. Look for that as it would cause total power failure. If all fails, call out a mobile auto electrician. https://www.google.com/search?q=auto+electrician+near+me ..

My polo classic 1.6 is switching off while running. What the cause be. I cleaned the injectors, replaced the coil and the fuel pump.

no year told nor country how sad is that, going Generic, made 1975 to NOW, must we guess cars? and vast evolution ? but Polo not sold in USA (huge hint there) I presume it burns petrol both fuels had 1.6L diesel too TDI yes spark coil is clue, only Coil told. guess #1 engine stalls. PETROL stop guessing or go broke fast, there a can be 50 causes will; you guess 50times, can I watch?(evil face joking) ouch took a bath in fuel on a guess wow. that is brave. not told at all:(and key to not going broke) told the story and evidence ENDED at the STALL> ! 1; fails only hot or cold engine or both 2: using right foot (pumped) can not save the he stall. 3: did it restart fast after the stall . 4: was engine overheating? 5: did any other things 12vdc electrics things vast on car fail at stall>? 6: alternator tests pass? 13 to 15vdc at idle. 7: no loose fuses? 8: at stall and parked, safely , is spark dead? a test all techs do. yes /no , did you know all EFI engine on earth cut fuel instantly if spark is detected bad by the PCM (no simple misfire P030x) 9: scan the PCM at or just after the stall? oops. never skip scans. 10 at restart did CEL/SES/MIL cluster lamp glow running? can it be made to fail parked, in your drive way? or garage if yes, causes are 10x more easy and safe, than while driving but I own a logging scan tool so can drive and log all DTCs live or stored, and makes work 10x more easy. and some errors take 3 hits top store, so we have a pending key on the scanner to find those too. that is it for now we can peel the onion as deep as you like. using tools and basic skills. if will not restart say so and say it cranks fast and do Add, 5%throttle crank to check for IAC dead. or do add WOT 100% throttle to clear floods (petrol crazy rich) never mess with fuel parts, if spark is bad on any cylinder or that invites adding bad parts to the car, now has 2 or 3 things bad. no fun there, and huge down times guessing wrong. it is super easy to buy the wrong parts guessing. zero fun there. stop throwing parts. please. and no the PCM is not bad. no ,no and no.
