2001 Toyota Yaris - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
2001 toyota yaris engine starts but then dies can tell me the problem please thanks paul
The issue with a car that starts up at first but then proceeds to stall immediately afterward is associated with the amount and quality of fuel being pumped through the engine block. The kind of car in question dictates whether a carburetor is present in the vehicle or if a fuel injection system is in charge of regulating these qualities. In instances where the automobile starts but does not continue to run, one of these two systems is present in the car and is not working properly.
These systems are susceptible to failure in cases where the wrong kind of fuel is present. This is a common occurrence in cases where a vehicle owner puts an inappropriate type of gasoline or diesel into the tank. In other instances, the trouble with the carburetor or fuel injection system is that these assets are simply worn out, broken or filled with residue

Air bag light will not go out
There is a problem with the SRS (airbag). This is something that must be fixed by a qualified mechanic (usually at the dealer). The airbags will not work (in a crash) while the light is on.

What is toyota vitz scp 10 p0500 fault
"Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction". That may be either related to the speedometer or related to the ABS, if your Yaris is equipped with ABS. It indicates that the car THINKS that it should be able to sense how fast the wheels are turning when you're in motion, but it's getting a strange signal from the sensor.
Since this is a Yaris with front-wheel drive, your speed sensors will be somewhere between the transaxle and the front wheels, probably one on each side. Look for some sort of small device mounted next to the axle shafts or next to the brakes - that device should have wiring connected to it. Check the little electrical connector, make sure it's plugged together correctly. The sensor itself may have failed, though, so be prepared to replace one or the other. if replacing one doesn't solve the problem, put the original one back and use the new one to replace the sensor on the other side of the car.

Abs warning light on and handbrake not working
It sounds like one or both of of your rear brakes is dragging or partially seized up.this would cause the ABS light to register. To fix the problem it will require you to service the brakes by freeing up the parking brake and getting everything moving again.Use a lubricant for brakes.Check the rear brake lining as they may be worn from being partially on.Make sure the caliper assembly is also moving freely and doesn't need replacing. This is of course if you are handy with a set of tools. If you haven.t done this kind of work before take it in and have it looked at.Brake work is either 100% correct or dangerously wrong.Good Luck

Hello, I wanted to ask what is the market value of the Toyota yaris 2001
go on line to red book valuations and you will get a good idea of the value of your car. Valuations are calculated on the year of manufacture ,mileage recorded, average expected condition. Mileage is calculated at 20.00klms per year (11 year old car = 220.000klms). Remember that the value of the car is what some one is willing to pay for it so keeping that in mind trade in value will be scrap value where as someone that wants a first car to learn to drive in may pay more if it looks good and runs well. If you want to upgrade to a new car then sometimes it is best to wait for a deal where the dealer offers good money for anything that can be delivered to the car yard as a deposit for a new vehicle

Toyota yaris problem
Do Not do that!! Anything foreign in the sump is a really bad idea.It way make its way to the oil pickup screen and partially block the flow of oil. This has the potential to damage your engine. At the bottom of the dipstick tube is usually a small bolt that attaches the tube to the side of the engine.I would remove this and see if I can fish it out then.Failing this you will have to drop the oil pan and get it that way.I know this may seem like a trivial thing but the potential is there to do a lot of damage.
If bits of plastic get past the screen and get into your engine any cost to get the stick out will seem very minor. good luck
