There is likely an issue with the vent control side of the EVAP system. I am also willing to bet the check engine light has been on since this problem started? Master/Slave cylinder issues, check fluid levels of brake fluid reservoir and bleed system where it attaches to the transmission. Have someone push on the clutch pedal as you watch for movement of the clutch fork where the Slave cylinder attaches to the transmission. If the Fork moves then it is either bent or slipped off the throw-out bearing, the throw-out bearing is seized maybe, the clutch disk itself could be worn or the syncro-mesh teeth inside the transmission are worn from missing gears while shifting.

Despite all the fancy electronic battery testers available very few of them have the ability to detect a battery that has sulphation problems. You will probably find that if you charge the battery it's fine for a while but if you leave your hazard indicators on for about 15 - 20 mins with the engine off the battery will not have enough power to turn the engine over again.... Typical symptom of a sulphated battery - remedy, change the battery.... hope this helps.

There are times, such as approaching a roundabout, turning into a junction or coming down a hill when I have slowed down and then want to accelerate away again. When I put my foot on the accelerator, the car acts as though it has gone into neutral or that the clutch is slipping. I have tried watching the display to see what gear it is in when it does this, but can't see a pattern.I have tried driving in ES mode but it made it worse. Also, when in automatic mode, I sometimes get a bleeping noise at low speed but the manual says this happens in manual mode! Has anyone else had these problems and found a way round them or do you think I should take the car back? I have done 2500 miles.
