Engine Light is on

When your engine light comes on the vechicle computer sensed something wrong and threw an error code, which lite your engine light.

If you don't have an OBD scanner, you can take it to any autoparts store and they will read it for you for free. Make sure that you write down the codes in the order they come off the computer. Then you will have a starting point for figuring out what is wrong.

How I can unlock Toyota

of course you could always read the owners manual, found in the glove box. on the assumption that someone else will do that for you, i suggest you look along the rear edge of the door. the button is usually there, to keep anyone from changing the lock while sitting in the seat with the car running.

I have a 1998 toyota

The check engine light indicates that the "on board computer" has detected a fault in the operation of the components that control engine and/or transmission performance. The computer in your vehicle is the OBD II and will "set" the check engine light for a variety of reasons. It could be anything from a loose gas cap to a defective catylitic converter to a bad fan relay. Even though the vehicle may still start and run, as long as the check engine light is on it is likely that the computer is running open loop. That is, without computer control. In this mode it may be hard to start, will get 30-40% lower fuel efficiently, and could allow the engine to damage itself to the point of total failure. The good news is that the computer stores "codes" that are extremely accurate in their ability to identify the failure that occured. Take your ride to any Auto Zone and they will scan it and tell you what the code is, what it means, and suggest repair scenarios. Good luckand I hope this helps! Dano

Removed door handle and there

to remove the old cable and to install the new one you will need to remove the latch and then unhook cable from the latch. remove the screws on the outside and then you will need to unhook any linkage connected like outside handle rod going to latch, take note of the location of anything removed from the lacth and how it goes on and where, this can get confusing when putting it back together, good day,

My windshield wipers completely stopped

if the motor is bad. go to the local junk yard and find one for your car if possible! a way to check the wiper motor to see if its bad. is power getting to motor! with wiper switch on, if it is then motor is bad. or you can run a jumper wire from positive on battery to positve on motor itself. if it is good, it will turn on. check power to motor first. good-day! if no power to motor it may possibly be the switch or wiring, if all fuses are ok.
