Speedometer not working.

No it does not. The speedometer uses the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) This goes to the ECM then the instrument panel, the transmission control also uses this sensor

Car wont start

I finally found a mechanic who found 3 broken wires. The diagnostic machine now reads the car and no faults were found. He changed the fuel pump and the car now cranks but doesnt fire up. I got fed up with the mechanic scratching his heading after 3 weeks sat in his garage so i got the car back home. I changed the battery cos the old one was completely knackered. I need to get this started asap... any suggestions? its a 1.9 diesel

Abs light has come on saab93

THE ABS WARNING LIGHT HAS COME UPIt means there is an issue with the anti lock braking system (ABS). If the warning light has come up it is likely that the ABS is no longer functioning. It is still safe to drive the car and it will brake as normal but the anti lock safety feature will not operate. You need to have it checked out for faults. The most likely cause is a failed ABS wheel speed sensor which needs to be replaced. There could alternatively be a problem with the ABS pump which is causing the warning. There is one item you can check yourself. There is a dedicated fuse for the ABS pump/motor. Check the owner's manual and locate the fuse for the ABS motor and check that the fuse has not blown. If it has blown replace it with a fuse of the correct amperage and road test the car. (So if it is a 40 amp fuse for example, make sure a 40 amp fuse is used to replace it.)Cheers

Saab 93 aero 2001 engine light on how do you get it off

If you have a code scanner you can do it yourself. Auto zone and Advance will not reset your codes anymore. You have to find someone that has a code reader and reset it. Maybe your local shop will do it for you?
