2005 Pontiac Vibe 1.8 - Page 4 Questions & Answers
2005 Pontiac Vibe runs great but it is eating fuel.
My first guess is that your oxygen sensor has gone bad. However, I'd think you'd have an engine warning light come on. In my experience, a bad oxygen sensor can really mess up your fuel mileage, even though the car seems to run fine. I'll bet your friendly car shop can fix you up.
Pontiac Vibe is locked with no battery. How to unlock doors? Key doesn't work the locks.
I had the same problem yesterday. I removed the battery (that was near dead) to take to get tested, but I had locked the doors and closed the hood before leaving. When I got back with the new battery the key fob wouldn't work, and the key would not manually open the doors. I ended up having a mechanic friend reach up under the front of the car to manually release the hood (it took him about 20 minutes to figure it out), replaced the battery, and then the key fob worked again. I'm not sure why the keys wouldn't work in the door - any ideas there?
