2007 Pontiac G6 car won't start

Could be a bad fuel pump, possibly a clogged fuel filter. Are there any lights on the dash such as the security light? There are several possibilities, but with it running out of fuel I think I would start by making sure there is fuel pressure at the engine. The pump is encased inside of the tank and the returning fuel is what keeps it cool. With it running out of fuel there is a good chance it might be no good now.

2004 Pontiac Sunfire drive cycle

Playing out a drive cycle subsequent to supplanting an O2 sensor and exhaust system assists the vehicle's PC framework with relearning and recalibrate. Here are the general advances you can follow for a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire:

Cold Beginning: Guarantee the motor is cold. Turn over the motor and let it inactive for 2 minutes.

Inactive: Put the vehicle in "Drive" and inactive for 2 minutes with the A/C on (if prepared).

Speed up: Advance rapidly to 55 mph at half choke and keep up with speed for 10 minutes.

Decelerate: Slowly decelerate to 20 mph without utilizing the brake pedal.

Stop: Reach a stand-still and inactive in "Drive" for 2 minutes.

Speed up Once more: Advance quickly to 55 mph at half choke and keep up with speed for 5 minutes.

Stop Once more: Reach a stand-still and inactive in "Drive" for 2 minutes.

City Driving: Drive at 25 mph for 5 minutes, then, at that point, at 45 mph for 5 minutes, making a point to differ speed and burden.

Pause and Inactive: Reach a stand-still and inactive in "Drive" for 2 minutes.

These means ought to help the vehicle's PC framework relearn and change in accordance with the new parts. Remember that particular drive cycle strategies might shift, so it's consistently smart to counsel the vehicle's manual or contact a certified specialist for the most reliable data

Lost my key to a 2003 Pontiac Grand prix. Had one programmed and it worked for a couple days but now my car starts and dies when I step on the gas pedal

Ownership history? If there is no transponder (chip) in the new key then the key can only be cut, not programed. If a no chip key was "programed" successfully then likely the system has been modified and there is a hidden transponder key which in turn means there's an after market security/remote start... the likely root problem. The new key doesn't work door lock issue is likely due to an improper key cut... it works ignition but not the door. OR you carried two keys, one for ignition and one for the door lock and lost both.

I have a 2002 Pontiac Booneville SE. The interior lamps, door locks, windows and sun roof do not work but I still have power to the mirros on the doors. What could be the problem?

Mirrors are separate from the other things. Driver and Passenger Outside Mirror Operation In order to control outside rear view mirror adjustments, two switches are contained within the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). The DDSA contains a built in mirror select switch and a built in mirror position switch. The DDSA reports the switch activity to the driver door module (DDM). The mirror select switch is used to select which mirror, left or right, is to be moved. The mirror position switch is used to move the mirror that has been selected to the desired position. When the mirror position switch is activated in a Up, Down, Left, or Right direction, the DDSA recognizes the input and sends this data on to the DDM via the power door serial data circuit. Depending on which mirror has been selected for adjustment, the DDM either moves the driver door mirror to the requested position, or sends a power door serial data message to the passenger door module (PDM) indicating that the passenger door mirror needs to be moved. The PDM then moves the passenger door mirror to the requested position. Each mirror has two reversible motors for position adjustment. The door modules control the reversible motors by supplying Battery Positive Voltage (B+) and ground to these motors. Outside Mirror System Components The power outside mirror system consists of the following components: • Driver door switch assembly (DDSA) • Driver door module (DDM) • Passenger door module (PDM) • Driver outside mirror • Passenger outside mirror • Power door serial data circuit • DRV MDL 10 A fuse (door module logic and internal driver operation) • PASS MDL 10 A fuse (door module logic and internal driver operation) Power Windows Operation The vehicle is equipped with power windows controlled by the door modules. Each passenger door power window can be operated, either from a switch built into the driver door switch assembly (DDSA), or from a switch mounted locally on its associated door. The driver door power window can only be operated from the driver door window switch built into the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). When the driver door module (DDM) receives a window switch request from the DDSA, the DDM checks the Class 2 serial data to see if the status information is correct (i.e. ignition switch position) to permit window operation to occur. If the status information is correct, the DDM, either supplies power and ground to its associated window motor, or, if the request is for one of the passenger windows, sends a command via the power door serial data circuit to the passenger door module (PDM, LRDM, or RRDM) controlling the window. The passenger door module (PDM, LRDM, or RRDM) controlling the window then supplies power and ground to its associated window motor to move the window as requested. When one of the local window switches mounted on one of the passenger doors is operated, the associated door module examines the request and checks to see if there are any messages from the DDM prohibiting the movement. If conditions are correct, and no prohibitive messages have been received from the DDM, the associated door module then supplies power and ground to its associated window motor to move the window as requested. The thing to do first would be to hook up a factory or some other type professional scan tool an check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes. DTC B3377, B3382, B3387, B3392, B3397, B3452, B3457, B3462, B3467, B3472, B3477, B3482, B3517, or B3522 Circuit Description The switch that failed and generated this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is part of the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). The DDSA contains a microprocessor which takes the signal generated by this switch and assigns a digital message to it. The DDSA then sends this message over a power door serial data circuit to the driver door module (DDM). Same thing for locks. The DDM must be powered and must not have DTCs B1327-Battery Low Voltage or B1328-Battery High Voltage set for this DTC to set. Your best bet might be to find a good auto electrician.

Where is the ground wire located for my 2003 Pontiac grand am passenger headlight?

I saw this question hanging around since yesterday, so thought I would take a crack at it. I remembered that Jeff has access to data where grounds are, so thought I would try. I see he has answered. Jeff Armer Aug 18, 2023 It's not a ground issue, driver side headlamp grounds at same place (G201) underneath the dash . Headlamps The headlamps may be turned on two different ways. First, when the driver places the headlamp switch in the HEADLAMP position, for normal operation. Second, with the headlamp switch placed in the OFF position, for automatic lamp control (ALC). During ALC, the headlamps will be in day time running lamp (DRL) operation in daylight conditions, or low beam operation in low light conditions. The LH HDLP and RH HDLP fuses, supply battery positive voltage from the under hood junction block to the left and right headlamps. The circuit continues through both low and high beam lamps, then back to the under hood junction block. The low beam and high beam circuits continue to the headlamp switch. The low beam and high beam circuits also provide the body control module (BCM) with both low and high beam inputs. The headlamp switch includes the dimmer switch and the flash-to-pass switch. When the headlamp switch is placed in the HEADLAMP position a path to ground is provided. Ground is provided at G201. Depending on the position of the high/low beam switch, either the low or high beam circuit will now have power and ground. G201 On the left side of the I/P, near the fuse block I found this, as Jeff says, not a normal ground near the light unit because it is computer controlled.

1987 Pontiac Fiero GT - Looking to why my check engine comes on and goes off while driving and my oil gauge flutters and engine almost cuts off while stopping?

Hi Jeff Dube, that is called the engine wants to stall, i nearly does and RPM engine is super low (out of spec) and slow engine can have too low oil pressure;. 800 rpm is the lowest speed RPM allowed (usa epa laws but no engine told) that is called misfire. and no OBD2 scan tool on earth works on any 1987 OBD1 car ever. so scanning it at home is not possible or crazy expensive. cause are up to 50s. folks love to convert Fiero to EV battery only propelled,. I would. 2 engines uses. 2.5L and 2.8L the cars VIN decoded online tells what engine is there, learn that and tell that for 10x better and more accurate answers. not told when car ran perfect last? never by you? last month, year ,decade?? ever give it a tune up, all filters new spark plugs, Hv wire set,cap and rotor? so spark is good> cant burn fuel fully lacking good strong spark. now FUEL a car like this, this old can have bad fuel. or had it and never cured, after. bad FPR, fuel pressure regulator is common for sure this old clogged or leaking tips INjectors x4 the ECU controls RPM hot. if RPM is too low that ECU not the fault it is other reasons many. the 2.5L has TB throttle body with IAC valve on this side that is gummed up. all are that old. really. the 2.5L not having 4 manifold injectors has throttle body injection system like below. red circle is IAC< it most not gum up or ECU can not ever control idle speeds. (even with perfect spark and fresh fuel) tb-undefined-undefined-0_0.jpg
