2009 G5...the svc tire monitor light came on and now the radio does not work\
I have the same issue, just started today. My radio went out, tire light came on... now my keyless entry doesn't work, and it says all 4 tire sensors are not responding. I tried replacing fuse #23 (15A) [audio] fuse inside the car on the pass side, and it immediately pops when I put a new one in.... 2009 g5 with 39k miles. great...
How do you reset
you will need a tech 2 scanner which is very expensive so next best thing is to bring it to the dealer and they charge up to 100 dollars for this service. older GM models you could do it by turning the key on for ten minutes three times but not now.
I cant start my pontiac
This is the Passlock or PASSkey security system on your car locking you out. GM vehicles have had this problem FOREVER ( since 1982 ) and instead of fixing it, GM decided they would rather just make money off the problem. Take this into the dealer and be prepared to pay up to 1200 for it to be fixed. 200 dollar transponder key at the least. It is possible to bypass this system entirely depending on the year.
Pontiac G5 2007 2008 2009 & 2010 can be bypassed. Takes about an hour and this problem will never happen again. Read this link for info, pictures, and links to sites that will help you. You are gunna need the one labeled "PERMANENT FIX". Good luck and comment back if you have any questions.

I changed my battery in
You can't fix it yourself. It takes a scanner at your Local Dealership to do it. People do it, (new battery) everyday unaware that doing so can and usually does, arm the theft system and either kills the radio or the whole car. To me it's just another built-in defect that requires dealer assistance. It's a buzzkill I know, and it probably won't be long until car owners won't even have access to the engine compartment.
What causes a 2008 pontiac
If it mainly happens when under load, I would change the fuel filter. While a semi clogged filter will allows enough fuel to pass when idelling or at slower speeds, it might not give consistant fuel flow when at higher speeds or under load - like climbing a hill.
Cannot turn key in ignition
Hi nicoleelgert, i suspect the steering lock is giving you the problem, all you need to do is turn the steering wheel left and right ( jiggle ) while turning the key in the ignition, it won't move much because it's locked but it will be enough to release the steering lock and allow you to turn key.. make sure you have the shifter in Park position too. Good luck . OK
Car shakes and almost stalls
- When is the last time you have put new plugs and wires on your car? You one really fouled plug can make your car run like this. If it has been a while I would do a tune up on your car.
- Make sure to check your air filter. A clogged air filter will will starve the car for air. So will a dirty Air Filter Housing for that mattes.
- A really clogged fuel filter will stall the car. I have seen fuel filters so bad the vehicle would not start.
- These are some can do at home tips that come to mind with the symptom you are explaining.
- You could also have a broken motor mount. There is no engine torque in neutral so a broken motor mount could be the cause as well.
- Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

The 15 amp fuse for
it is likely that you have a short circuit somewhere, either in the wiring or one of the lamps you will have to check the wiring & lamps to try & find the fault.....hope this helps......cheers.
My left turn signal seems
when one side flasher blinks faster than the other it usually means there is a faulty bulb on the side blinking faster
Where can I get a
if its a bulb then go to a repair shop(not dealer) to have it replaced.if the bulbs are working then its a flasher.
G5 ignition switch won't switch
the gearing or the switch has gone bad so all you can do is disconnect the battery and unplug the alternator as well to shut off the engine. you can disable the fuel pump fuse although the battery will drain since power is still going through the circuits
2007 g5 door switches will
The fob itself is bad. You can sometimes take them apart and clean the contacts but 9 times out of 10 they have to be replaced.
Need to remove the interior
I think you are opening up a can of worms and at the end of the day you will wish you had gone to a dealer and paid 15 bucks to have them do it. I have never seen a vehicle fuse box which requires special tools to get at, the thinking is that fuse replacement can be done fairly quickly, generally they even provide a little plastic puller tool for those without fingernails. There are however special tools for pulling inside trim panels without damage, if you must, go buy one of those.
If you google around you will find many little horror stories about do it yourself remote reprogramming. Put the jumper wire between these two connectors on the diagnostic interface, turn on the ignition, but do not start it and hold the button down on the remote for 4 seconds. Now tow the car to a dealer and spend hundreds!
I had a nice GM dealer reprogram a remote once for free as i had them change the oil and rotate the tires, plus they have a little meter thing which checks the remote so you know it is putting out a signal.
How to change a front
If you can't see or reach this burnt out light from under the open hood, and there are no screws through the lens to take out. You will have to get on your back under front of car and reach up and turn out(about 1/2 turn) the bulb socket from the light assembly. After you replace the defective bulb it goes back in the same way it came out. Good luck, best regards.
How do I change the
Hello most of the pontiacs you have to remove the insulation in the trunk to access the bolts and then remove the lense. The center brake light you probably have to remove the plastic cover under the trunk lid if it is in the rear dash you will have to preety much have to get into the trunk and look up right in the center
good luck
